🌿 A Hidden Gem: Teruna Dara Waterfall, Sungai Rusa
I recently had the chance to explore a beautiful hidden spot called Teruna Dara Waterfall, located in Sungai Rusa, Balik Pulau, Penang. Honestly, it felt like stepping into nature’s own spa — peaceful, refreshing, and untouched.
The journey there was a bit of an adventure. You’ll need to do a short trek through a forest trail, but trust me, it’s worth every step. The air was super fresh, the sounds of flowing water were calming, and the greenery all around made me feel totally disconnected from stress.
The waterfall isn’t huge, but it’s crystal clear and really cold — just perfect on a hot day. I took a dip in the shallow pool, chilled with some friends, and just soaked in the natural vibes. It’s also a great spot for a picnic if you pack your own snacks.
📸 Pro tip: Bring your camera or phone fully charged — the views are Instagram-worthy!
Quick Tips:

Bring your own food/water — but please don’t litter.

It's so unfair, the area is beautiful far from the ugly building dotting the area but the access to the waterfalls in the area is private or forbidden or like for the Titi Kerawang, where the path goes to the water station; why this area is so...

You have to go on a little village road then pass the orchard, once you reach an iron gate, you are at the right destination. You will walk up the durian hill for about 30-45 mins, the path is a long slope. Once you’re done with the slope, you’ll walk on a flat 100-meter path to reach the waterfall. The waterfall is definitely the highlight of the trip. The water is refreshing, take your swimming clothes to treat yourself cool...
