Batu Ferringhi Iron Waterfall — Attraction in George Town

It's situated in a hidden path on the side of the road heading towards Teluk Bahang. With a little bit of trek (or drive) you will reach a parking area and that's where you disembark and find for a flight of stairs to the waterfall.

The beautiful rock formations dot the place, and even a natural pool and slide at the lower level of the waterfall. If you are a bit more adventurous, there's 2-3 ways you can get up to the second level, and there you will find a different area that's rarely explored.

If you feel like going for a river trek, you can go abit higher and find a river and follow it to see some interesting things.

Overall, a must visit place if you're in Penang, or a Penangite. Visitors frequent less, so you may have a spot for your romantic getaway ;) (P.S : my friend...

Cool waterfall a short walk back from Batu Ferringhi beach. You take a unlabeled dirt road back about 10-15 mins and arrive at a bridge over a creek. Take the trail to the left and you arrive at the falls. You can climb around a little and explore or just chill in the large open area in smooth stone. Definitely worth the 15 min walk.

Other Reviews: There are a couple dogs in a yard that are chained up, they might back, but are not that scary. Note that no one ever commented they attacked or bit. Don't worry about them.

It is definitely not crowded so don't expect a bunch of people...you may be alone. The trail at the beginning is not very scenic, covered in trash on both sides, but...

A short and easy walk past thick jungle and some friendly dogs and about 30 monkeys looking down on us from trees above. There were a number of residential establishments but only saw one person. The water fall is worth visiting as I stood there for a moment I can sense the positive energy emanating from the water flowing down from the mountain. I suggest putting your hand in the fast moving water for a few minutes and feel the living water as it flows past and around your hand. You’ll feel it’s life energy. Beware of the slippery rocks though. It was a very recharging...
