Miami Beach, conveniently located just steps away from DoubleTree by Hilton Penang, offers a unique coastal experience for guests. Accessible via a linked bridge from the hotel, this beach may not boast a long stretch of shoreline, but it compensates with its charm and family-friendly atmosphere.
Dotted with large stones along the coast, Miami Beach provides ample space for sunbathing and various family activities. While the water may not boast crystal-clear blue hues, it remains inviting for a refreshing swim, although caution is advised due to occasional jellyfish sightings.
For those looking to indulge in snacks or refreshments, a few stalls and Miami Cafe are available nearby, offering a variety of treats including juices and light meals. Whether it's soaking up the sun, enjoying family time, or simply taking in the coastal ambiance, Miami Beach offers a pleasant retreat for guests of DoubleTree by...
Read moreI actually feel very awkward that our beautiful Penang Beach is called after a US location. Pantai Miami located on the Northern most point (almost) of the Island, it is a small stretch of beach that lies between Shamrock Beach and Moonlight Bay. Reachable by walking along Jalan Tanjung Bungah, it is also the route of Rapid Bus #101 and #102, the bus stop exactly at the beach, if you are travelling from Komtar, the price at the date this is written is RM2. I recommend to take the 101 since it has more frequency, 102 comes all the way from the airport and its travels a longer route. There are no parking near the beach, I don't recommend anyone coming here with their cars or eat at the beach and throwing their trash everywhere. Lots of Crows, Rock Pigeons and rats can be seen here since people are litter bugs. The hawkers all uses single use plastic containers which...

Basic amenities such as public toilet (with fee), local hawkers stall selling snack, cemented stairs (not wheelchairs accessible), safety watch tower (manned by APM). You can enjoy the warm sea breeze with soft oscillating wave beating the shore and silhouette of Mountain Jerai (at good weather) over the Peninsula of Malaya with the background of open view of Malacca straits. The bin could be overfilled with crows. Stump of fallen trees tainted the view. The terrace of empty shop lot (10 units) could be unsightly, but afford to house...
