Miami Cafe Beachfront — Restaurant in George Town

If you want to get away from the crowds and take-in the beauty of Miami Bay with cheap food and drink at a family-run place - then you have a list of very specific requirements - and this place is perfect for you. It's a great spot to relax - tucked-away down a stone staircase opposite Doubletree - with sea-swept rocks and a shady trellis popular with birds and squirrels. The young lady serving tables here is a joy and her English is perfect.

Negatives - the food's not great. The curry (praised in other reviews) tastes more like a spicy milk than anything of substance. There's also a guy (who perhaps works here?) who is probably trying to be friendly but is a bit of a turn-off. He offered me unknown red berries that had fallen from the trellis and didn't seem to want to take 'no' for an answer, and generally didn't pick up on cues that I'd rather be...

I left my OKU elderly to be seated a minute (5min) while I went down to the beach to get a picture. The Indian Uncle asked to order & my elderly aunt don't want to coz we want to back to Double Tree Hotel for dinner. But the Indian uncle was drunk & chase my elderly to dont seat without order drinks. My elderly aunt stand while I'm back within 5-6min. I asked why and the Indian uncle was rude and scold us back that we are not afford to buy a drink but seating at their restaurant with bad words. I'm an Indian too but seeing such a Drunken Indian Uncle being rude to people is such a shamed to our community. I strongly not recommend this cafe who is not polite to people and drunken while running a cafe. The view from the cafe is good but the cafe owner/worker is not kind to people. NOT...

I do agree with the other reviewers that the view is perfect as it’s just right beside the beach shore,

However, do not expect much, It’s run by an Indian family whom I believe the whole family stayed there, very run down, Their designs of chairs and tables are also not synchronised

I ordered fried rice chicken x 2, take away since it’s opposite doubletree hilton Penang, it’s cheaper also, The fried rice tastes so awful No taste and the plastic spoon they gave It was murk with dusk and I tried washing it to use it, I couldn’t, I have to use hotel metal teaspoons

The customer service is still alright but really don’t expect much There is better cafe facing beach out there such as Starbucks batu Ferringhi that opens until 2 am! Man the Starbucks faces sea and is...
