Mersing Geopark — Attraction in Johor

What was once a volcanic eruption zone dated 300 million years ago and is now an island, making this is the perfect adventure for my son who is obsessed with rocks and marine science. And to fully emersed in the experience, we decided to hire a local guide to show us this amazing gem.

We thought can settle in one day, but with a 4yo on tow, and at every stop we all spend hours looking at the rocks and asked questions. So the last two check point, we did it the next day. I feel it's best to split the hike to two days to fully exprience...

There is no clear trail, so you have to navigate through the forest yourself. A lady we met said that you can walk along the beach to the rock formations. We did not do this as it was high tide and we're not familiar with the area.

A definite must go when you are near this area! Such a beautiful place with nice scenery and nature. It’s pretty easy to climb with the ropes and ladder. Once over, you’ll be able to see the arch of the rock. Do go when it’s low tide so you can walk through...
