Used to see and watch crocodile from afar like in tv and youtube. The closest we can get to see these wild is in Zoo. But most of the time, crocodile in the zoo, any zoo is very passive. All they do is stay static with open mouthed. Not blaming the crocs, probably because of the space provided for them in the zoo not as spacious as it should consider they're from the wild. But in Crocodile farm in teluk sengat, i would say... I'm very satisfy with overall. Visitors able to witness a lot types of crocodiles with different ages from 'kids' to 'great great grandfather' level 😂. I mean they have all levels of ages and the distance between visitor and these crocs are actually quite close compared with the zoo. But of course with extra precaution and safety. It happens during our visit, we encounter a couple of crocs in the same cage were "talking". First time ever get to listen their real voices. And we also entertained with some visitors who took package of feeding the crocs. They also have this huge ponds not just one, but a few that full with crocodiles. You can witness how these crocodiles be together with their kind, competing for food, snatching away the raw chicken and definitely very active. Quite satisfy and not to say the fee is quite cheap also. The location is pretty secluded but worth the journey for...
Read moreThe location isn’t ideal, since heading west requires navigating through small roads because there is no highway entry close to the farm. The on-site experience was slightly marred by an incredibly incompetent cashier who could neither count nor speak English and a guide who was not fluent speaking English either. Despite that, the guide was knowledgeable and responsive to questions, bringing us through the biology of crocodiles and history of the farm. A worker prodded younger crocodiles to demonstrate their reactions. In addition, he fed frozen chickens to an agglomeration of crocodiles, which was an amusing sight. The entire tour was conducted on an elevated sheltered walkway, so this attraction would still be a tenable option in wet weather.Following the tour, we had the opportunity to touch baby crocodiles (with the mouth sealed shut) and take photos with it. That was certainly the highlight of this experience. Crocodile meat is also sold here, for RM4 per satay. The serving is rather niggardly, and the meat tastes similar to sago worms (which isn’t bad) Overall, this was an educational and family friendly experience that deserves a strong...
Read moreTicket was priced at rm8/adult (local). Crocodiles are there, small and huge, but looks sad and abandoned, especially those that have a broken arm/foot or rotten body parts. Place was under renovation so more than half was closed / covered by sheets whilst the workers were painting the walls as visitors were walking by. No shows or attractions, seems like they used to have chicken baits to lure the crocodiles to jump up the water. But now the cottage on higher grounds are abandoned and the threads look mouldy, surviving through day and night under all weathers. Also no guided tours unlike the last time I was here (it was a weekday and there’s only two of us was there, staffs were definitely more than visitors). It has an outdoor toilet and an eatery outside its souvenir shop; but when asked of hot food the menu seems unavailable. Hence can only get the overpriced cold drinks from the refrigerator. Overall it is ok to drop by for first timer, would recommend if there was no renovation ongoing, only if you have a car here as the location is kind of distant from the town and has nothing else in...
