Tanjung Ruh Pantai Escape to peaceful isolation………………. Pantai, in Malay means beach Langkawi, being an island, is full of beaches. As a tourist hotspot, one will find most of public beaches crowded but Tanjung Ruh is exception. Why? Because it is bit far from the most of the hotels and island attractions. Actually, there are many hotels right on the beach, but still, it is far from the main city where most of the people staying. One has to drive for 45 mins or so to reach there. We went to Kilim Mangrove Forest boat tour and after finishing our tour, we made a stop at Tanjung Ruh, which is close by. We were looking for a good restaurant and the closest available was at Tanjung Ruh Pantai (Spice@Rhu Terrace). The beach facing restaurant serves very delicious food. Food, hydration, drinks and a walk on the white sand, this all we can wish to end our day here. Yes, Tanjung Ruh has clean white spotless sand beaches. This is one of the better places in Langkawi, if shell collection...
Read moreImagine the perfect hotel, the most friendly staff, clean perfect sand, warm seas and beautiful views. That's this place.the hotel beech is spotless and constantly cleaned (because of all the plastic I assume floats over from the Thai mainland) but 100 metres past the hotel beech and its awful. There is no other hotel here and it's a dead end on the beech. This is the bit which isn't kept clean and it is a shock to see such a state. It's not down to the hotel to clean that bit but it would be nice if they could so that walk down to the end of the beech would be much nicer. That's the only thing I could find wrong with this hotel. And it isn't even somthing that can be blamed on them.such an amazing place and was the only let down. Did a mangrove tour which was the best. Just me and the girlfriend and the boat captain. Went to the fish farms and floating restaurant, saw monkeys and Eagles.nice little beech bar and a couple stalls if you walk right out the hotel...
Read moreThe best beach in langkawi. We visited over 4 beaches in Langkawi and this was the best beach. It was a 40 min ride from pentai chenang center by bike. You can also get a grab. The beach is clean, quiet and empty( hope it stays this way). A great place to swim of you love ocean swimming. (Caution: a few feet into the beach and its deep) . The beach has food options. It's also a great place for kayaking and stand up paddling. You can rent this here for about 100 ringgit.
Our stand-up paddle instructor was great and took us for a long paddle into the other islands that you can view from the beach. Also there's a bar on the beach get your beers there for 5 ringgit 😀
NOTE: There are RTVs but please don't rent them on a quiet beach where people are sleeping/sunbathing. Don't be that person that everyone frowns upon. Don't contribute to the...
