Cave below Lighthouse — Attraction in Malacca

Cave Below Lighthouse - Located in Tanjung Tuan Reserve Forest which's belong to Malacca State though it more synonym with Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. 🇲🇾 Location in a small cape, the narrowest part of Tanjung Tuan, the famous for the country's oldest lighthouse (Cape Rachado Lighthouse) and birds watching shrouded in history, myth and mystery based on fact and legends. It's a rocky part area, quite challenging to reach the caves from the trailhead (paved road/trail near the lighthouse). There's two different trail towards the same point. 1.Tangga Taubat Trail - short trail, it take about 20 - 30 minutes, Pulau Intan Trail - long distance, its about an hour to reach the caves. Thereabouts have two unique cave/cavern tunnel leads to a rocky beach with gorgeous view where's visible and can be access or explore when the recede water/low tide. Check the time of lowest tide around (4.30pm) and start walking up to the lighthouse from entrance around 4pm.

Behind the lighthouse starts following pulau intan sign to tangga taubat.

From the beach we come down from tangga taubat walk the rocks and sand all the way to left until we reach the cave. Slowly walk and reached cave around 4.40pm.

Take some pictures then return following the same trail. There is another beach which is beautiful near the tangga taubat.

The difficult part for me is the stairs… my legs clamp when returning to the lighthouse climbing up the stairs…

Need to be careful when walking on the rocks, some rocks actually not stable and moving. Almost twisted my foot when stepping on one of the big rocks when it moved.

Got 2 caves located below the lighthouse, can come to here by entering trail on a small trail right side of the road path in front of the lighthouse. Caves only accessible during low tide so better check on the tide forecast first before come. There are sharp edge stone and slippery stone here so be careful.
