What they did here is very noble. When a turtle is hurt or injured dued to fishing activities, here is where they will be brought for rehabilitation.
We were here because it was one of the activity from clubmed as it is located by the entrance of Clubmed. We departed at 11am and I can tell you it's not an easy task to walk with children. Roughly I think the whole walk is almost close to 1km and under the sun is crazy. But it was worth it as our kids really enjoy the experience of seeing the turtles.
My advise will be do take your stroller if you have one, else it's not really suitable for kids under 5 yrs old in my personal opinion. Else you will have to carry them on...

The exhibition is interesting as it tells you more about the marine life in Malaysia, although I'm not sure when was this as it definitely hasn't been updated recently. But you go there to see turtles and you're definitely not going to get disappointed. Read moreStill worth your half an hour to 45 mins visit, an informative display gallery, a few ponds with isolated (maybe injured) / 2 big turtles, and a pond with lots of baby turtles.
We visited it on Saturday afternoon. The front counter staff was friendly. We were told the centre will be closed at 4.30pm. And we can come back at 6pm if we are interested in joining the baby turtles release. And it is free to join.
If we want to see the big turtle lay eggs on the beach, there is only one place which is Teluk Mak Nik. And a fee and booking in advance...
