Batu Kawan Hiking Trail — Attraction in Penang

Use Waze or Google Map to find Arulmigu Balathandayuthapani Vevasthanam Batu Kawan temple. Park your vehicle at the parking area. On the right side of the temple, follow the tar road. About 30 minutes, moderate hiking, you will reach the summit of Bukit Kawan Telecom Tower. Beautiful scenery at the two look-out points, one facing North/West and the other facing South. Slightly more than 200m in height. Good for beginners. Trekking up can be made through the tar road adjacent to the Hindu Temple or through jungle track via the chinese cemetry. Its also the track used by mountain bikers with a well designed track by the bikers. From the summit of the hill , there's a path going downhill to the beach leading to the jetty for Pulau Aman. Good short (~15 mins) hike up to the top. Lovely view. There is a small coffee stall which is not always open but an amazing idea. Coffee and that view 😍. Mostly shaded and can be done with young kids. Tar path all the way up. Few normal paths brach off along the way that I havent checked out but would love to. One path at top goes towards what seems to be a barren rock canyons like formation. Not very safe for kids but def...
