To go to the starting hiking location, follow the Google Map, and you'll see Indian Temple, Arulmigu Balathandayuthapani Devasthanam Batu Kawan. There is ample parking there where you can park your car.

Just right next to the Indian Temple, Arulmigu Balathandayuthapani Devasthanam Batu Kawan, there is narrow road that lead to the top of the Batu Kawan Hill. You can either walk follow the narrow road path, ride your bicycle or motorcyle up the hill.

Besides the narrow road path, there are few paths of hiking paths (dirt trails) if you decide not to use the narrow road path and go for more challenging adventures.

At the plateau, there is nice scenery facing the Bandar Cassia and Batu Kawan Industrial Park. There are resting areas, and swings where the hikers can rest and enjoy the nice view. You can observed the second Penang bridge (Jambatan Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam) from the plateau. You can also observed where eagles flying high up the sky.

It roughly took about 20 min to reach the hill top by just walking, and since narrow road is built along the way, there is lack of trees to provide the enough shade under...

Great place to hike. Parking near the temple. Come early morning if you want to view sunrise(road trails right side view) and to avoid hot sun after 10am. Off road trails are available if you go straight after the road trails first point. Very nice and dangerous architecture. Many big rocks and deep holes underground. Worth it! Just beware of stray animal-dogs, monkey that waiting for...

I've read there's another trail leading to a beach but I can't seem to find it as there's no signage for it. I hope to find...
