Cashless only. Can tap touch n go card to enter, no need to buy ticket at counter. However there was no clear signages for tourists and staffs could have handled the crowd better.
Should allow cash too, hence less 1 star. What if system is down or there is no electricity?
From Butterworth train station, just walk and follow the sign. Covered walkway. Waiting area is with aircond and 3 food stalls but 1 of them wasn't opened at the waiting area. Saw only 1 small escalator and stairs. Limited charging ports. The old Chinese couple stall gives good service. Place is clean.
Timing is convenient. Reached here around 3.30pm via ETS and the next ferry is at 4pm. Every 20min. Smooth ride on the ferry about 15mins.
There is a connected Penang Central, small mall with limited restaurants n food court upstairs. Visible from the terminal. Quiet mall, some...

For visitors traveling with many big suitcases, there is a long staircase and you have to prepare to carry your suitcases down the stairs, I think the ferry is built with the convenience of the locals but not...
