Since we have been trying to meet different types of animals, my wife found this place to try out. As I kept saying in different posts that we love bunnies, because we used to have one as a pet. This place seems that they have some of bunnies, so we wanted to interact with them.
This place is not a cafe, by the way. More like a petting-zoo-type of place. This place opens at a 10am, and they said there is a restaurant right next to it for breakfast, which is also supposed to open at 10am. We went there and asked clerks who were cleaning the windows. They said it’s still closed. They did not say what time it will open or any useful information. They just said “we are closed”. We talked with the people from the mins, they said it’s simply “lazy”. Okay, we got it. Let’s keep going to see animals!
First we went to the zone 1, which is for reptiles like geckos, lizards, snakes, spiders and scorpions. I don’t really like them personally, but there was one employee who seemed very passionate about his job and he guided us around this zone. I liked him a lot. He provided a lot of information about their animals. He let us touch many of them and made us laugh with his personal experiences. We had a good time with his half-hour tour.
Next we went to goat and horse area. They had a huge crab on a display as well, which I have never seen before in my life. One goat baby was so friendly, he hopped around us and my wife had a chance to hold him for a while. Petting the mini horses was also fun.
Then we saw big turtles, lizard and hedgehog area. We could mostly interact with turtles under the employees supervision. I have never held a turtle before, so I was happy trying. One turtle kept eating salad and got pieces of leaves all around his face. It was adorable, I thought.
Later, we visited fish tanks and went upstairs to see bunnies, Guinea pigs, wallabies, skunks, meerkats, squirrels. Bigger mammals looked better taken care of. But bunnies and Guinea pigs were very sad to look at. As a former bunny owner, they really need a help for their health. I could not feel like playing with them at all, because they were so tense and scared. So unless they try to take a better care of the little guys, this is not a place for small mammal lovers.
Out last interaction was with a couple of anteaters. I have never played with them before. So it was exciting and fun to see their movements.
I enjoyed my time the most with reptiles area and anteaters. Turtle and goats area were fun as well. Upstairs was less entertaining after I saw bunnies and Guinea pigs. But if you like to interact with rare animals, this place can be good choice for your...
Read moreWent there for a birthday party celebration which is located upstairs. We arrived at around 12.30pm and here is my review.
What I Like: Did not expect for a diversified animals located there even though it is a petting zoo. I’m expecting more like a small scale kind of petting zoo with small animals etc. What they showcase there is much more such as pythons, goats, horses, rabbits etc. and bear in mind that we only entered a portion of the zoo (the entrance) itself and I’m pretty sure there is much more animals upstairs.
Apart from the zoo, they also have restaurants / cafes for you to enjoy whilst looking at the animals there.
Comparing other petting zoos around Klang Valley in terms of pricing, this petting zoo is cheap at RM30 per entrance.
What I Hate: During the birthday event, there was a power trip happened once. Considering that the venue is located in Kota Damansara and boasts themselves a an event space / petting zoo etc., power trip should not be an issue.
The parking is very very very very limited. We had to park by the roadside ON THE OPPOSITE LANE. If you are carrying a child with a stroller, this is pretty much a very difficult challenge already. Not mentioning the already scorching day it was, I was all sweaty when we arrived at the entrance. I can’t imagine the difficulties if it was raining cats and dogs that day.
There is one section there where you can hire a small bucket and a fishnet for you to catch the small fish there. The problem is that there is no staff presented all the times at this counter for us to pay. I need to like get out from the section, go to the main entrance and still can’t find the respective staff.
Overall: You can find better petting zoos in Klang Valley with better experience.
As an event space - not bad if you include the petting zoo as part of your guests’s...
Read moreI went there during weekday this week and when this place is off radar from influencers and KOLs and etc with another friend.
Parking Limited parking space available during workdays other than parking at the side of the road.
Location It’s in the industrial area and next to Perodua service centre. From outside, the place look small, but surprisingly there are many exhibits to see and for children to feel and touch.
Exhibits Zone 1 - It’s where the creepy crawlies are; frogs, some snakes, lizards, centipede, mini pond with huge Koi fishes and some lovely little ducks. There’s a cage for capybara but it’s coming soon. It’s a mix of both poisonous and non-poisonous insects.
Zone 2 - Tamandua or anteater zone but this is a different anteater species.
Zone 3 - Fishes where you can see and you can scoop small fishes out for RM10 for 15 mins too and pet one little tortoise. It’s also where other snakes are displayed.
Zone 4 - Petting zoo; ponies and little goats.
Zone 5-6 - Located upstairs where you can see large rabbits, ferrets, flying squirrels, wallaby, armadillo, meerkats, large hamsters, skunk, more snakes, porcupines.
Next to Min’s petting zoo, is Luck Bros cafe. Good food and good place to sit down and eat before or after going to the mini zoo.
Overall, the children enjoyed their time here a lot and we don’t mind...
