Signature Cafe — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

After visiting this hidden cafe twice in a month, it is safe to post about this lovely cafe.

When you have a big showroom cum warehouse with extra spaces to spare and at the same time bring prospects into the showroom, what would you do? Do it like Signature Kitchen in Kota Damansara - open up a cafe so that everyone can enjoy their breakfast, lunch and probably late lunch.

I would not have thought that there's such a nice, cosy and spacious cafe inside this black building along Jalan Teknologi where the industrial activities in Kota Damansara area are. Make yourself comfortable by plonking down on the sofa while enjoying your coffee, or many proper tables and chairs are available should you want to eat.

◾Tuna Melt Sandwich - served open-faced style with generous tuna filling and melted cheese on top. Garnished with edible flowers & mini radish slices. A dish that I like which has been done right. ◾Pastries - he was torn between rendang chicken puff & spicy sardine puff .. and chose the former in the end. No regret.. it disappeared off the plate almost instantaneously as soon as it was served. ◾And most importantly, they make good coffee which was an important criteria for both of us.

Many items in the menu caught me eyes such as duck egg CKT, fried rice, pasta, Japanese infected curry katsu rice, plus our very own national dish Nasi lemak. Also do check out their cake selection. But until I have tried those, I can't vouch on the quality... However, I did see many people tucking into their food happily.

The food quality is impressive. A little bit pricey but still affordable tho.

I ordered pan seared salmon with mango salsa and seafood aglio olio with iced belgium dark chocolate. The food is delicious. I feel likes it's doesn't enough. Probably the portion of the food a little bit small but the nutritional values for one pax is there. So quality quantity.

I tried using cashless payment via debit card but the shop machine isn't working. I'm pretty sure not my cars aren't functional as I have been cashless all the time. I had to pay using cash. Luckily I have lol.

The price is bit expensive but it's something affordable.

The parking is a little bit limited. The exit of the car park is too small. Big cars like MPV or SUV are gonna have hard time accessing through the site.

During this cmco we got to go through the the whole Signature building just to get through the cafe. But not an issue here.

The staff is friendly. He recommend good meals to curious customer like me lol.

Have wifi and air conditioning with great interior design and concept.

Overall, an Okay cafe in Kota Damansara. I like it.

MENU VERDICT :

1. French Confit Chicken Leg Nice food presentation. The roasted chicken leg is served with caramelized onions and broccoli. The received chicken leg part is quite massive and the chicken is tender, soft. The caramelized onions taste quite sweet, not for me personally but it does add some savoury taste to the chicken.

2. Iced Matcha Very thick matcha flavour and it's a natural green tea flavour without sweet flavouring since it got an earthy bitter taste. The drink texture is quite dense but it gets lighter as the ice cubes melt down.

THE GOOD • Cozy ambience and chic interior decor. A very conducive place to get work done or have business lunch • Decent selection of western menu with pastries and cakes available at the counter • Interesting location in the industrial area of Sunsuria Technology Centre but the place is easily accessible via DASH highway and Persiaran Surian road • Cashless payments like e-wallet and cards are supported
