Just played a round at Dalit Bay Golf & Country Club in Sabah — what a hidden gem! ⛳️ The course is beautifully laid out between the sea, rivers, and rainforest, with Mount Kinabalu peeking through on clear days. Super peaceful and scenic — definitely one of the most relaxing rounds I’ve had.
The fairways were in great shape, greens rolled true, and it’s challenging enough to keep things interesting without being frustrating. Lots of water hazards though — so bring a few extra balls 😅.
The course winds through the Shangri-La Rasa Ria resort, so you get that luxury vibe. Staff were very polite, helpful, and the buggies had GPS (always a bonus). After the round, we chilled at the clubhouse with a cold drink and watched the sun dip behind the hills — perfect end to the day.
Only heads-up: it can get hot midday, so I recommend an early tee-off. And it’s a bit of a drive from Kota Kinabalu town, but worth the trip if you’re in the area.
If you're a golfer visiting Sabah, this one’s a must-play. Beautiful, calm, and very...
Read moreThis is a very beautiful well maintained 18 hole Golf course and its only 27 km from Kota kinabalu. You can call in a few days earlier to book your reservation. The receptionist are super friendly and helpful. How fast you reach depends on traffic condition. Best to come earlier. Its an easy golf course for low handicaper but can be a nightmare for beginners.Except for hole no 8 and 16 all other holes are paired with water hazards. So advise for beginners,..bring loads of golf balls. Make sure to zip up your gadget and titbits esp at hole 16,17, & 18 as macaques are likely to be your loyal spectator. If you are lucky enough you will even enjoy the company of kingfishers and sea eagles
Just one comment for improvement. It will be helpful to have a rake at the bunker. But better to provide at each buggy. This will help the golfers enjoy their game and appreciate the...
Read moreWe came to Kota Kinabalu four days ago with friends. Staying at the Shangri La’s Rasa Ria and playing golf at the Dalit Bay Golf Club, what a life. The course is well maintained and reasonably challenging, lots if water and slopes, but fun to play. The whole routine of golfing is smooth and enjoying. Special thanks to Ms Madziah, the lady at the tee off counter, she was so helpful to inform you the traffic of the course and always try her best to make the appropriate arrangements. Mr Daud, I met him at the pro-shop. He not only gave me valuable information about the course and was kind enough to share his thoughts about my swing, which has totally leaded to my very good game yesterday. I love Dalit Bay and will definitely come back....
