This is only review of the assisted buffet breakfast. As a buffet breakfast lovers we were surprised that during RMCO there is something for us (Tanjung Aru has unlimited ala carte). Right upon arrival we were assisted by lady who noticed us queing. She didn't even try to look for our reservation which was a bit dissapointing. She led us to table but the welcome was not as warm as the lady who was trained to welcome guests. Most of the staff didn't try to have conversation and kind of avoided communication (in Tanjung Aru we were fully satisfied). Outside siting environment was true garden where one doesn't want to leave. One would think that inside there is not enough seats but most of the guests prefered to sit outside under roof. The staff assisting with each order was protected by protective glass. We can only hope other places can get inspired. Food presentation. To be honest, it's not easy to find a picture worth sharing (Tanjung Aru all plates were instagram shareable). Food selection we liked: cheese platter and omelette with parmesan cheese, nasi lemak and some aromatic teas. Surprises: 6 flavors of ice cream. Dissapointments: yogurt - no condiments to add (Tanjung aru yogurt was full of fruits). Pancakes - only maple and chocolate sirup which tasted a bit chemical. No option for berries or vanilla sauce. Croassaint. The ingredients were 5* and trying this buffet is an experience. But it's very hard to have a memory of specific dishes. PS: Asians might get dissapointed that the taste is more oriented...

There is a superb breakfast at Coffee Terrace restaurant with a lot of variety. I was delighted to try so many types of international food and everything was delicious. The staff were very helpful too. There is option to sit inside or outside depending on what you prefer. I liked sitting both inside and outside.

I also tried international barbecue dinner at Coffee Terrace on Sunday night and celebrated my son's birthday. The dinner included lots of foods including stakes, barbecue and so much more. Everything was delicious and prepared professionally. We really enjoyed it

My son's birthday turned into a special occasion when I informed the hotel about his birthday and hotel trio band came to sing happy birthday🎸🎸🎸😍😍😍

We had the pleasure of enjoying both breakfast and dinner at Coffee Terrace during our stay at Shangri-La Rasa Ria, and we were thoroughly impressed. The food was consistently excellent with a great variety that catered to both local and international tastes. Whether it was the generous breakfast spread or the themed dinner buffets, everything was beautifully presented and delicious.

What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. A special mention goes to Norizah, who went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was memorable. Her friendliness, professionalism, and attention to detail were...

Breakfast buffet: Malayisan dishes (fried rice, meehoon, congee, curry dishes) are mostly good. The nasi lemak’s sambal needed some sugar and/or tamarind to balance its saltiness. Also missing cucumber slices. They served acar (pickle of cucumber, pineapple, carrot & onion) the next day - not bad, but still missing the cucumber :D Decent pastries, omelette and chilled juices. The cold-cuts and sausages on the other hand..tasted really-really bad compared to the real stuff - just skip them! Highlight: Teh tarik and friendly employees - Sabahan hospitality.
