Dude it's a rare chance to actually be in a belian, colonial-era fort. It's nicely maintained, and provides a good idea on how Sarawak was formed. Guess, what? It's also free! Make sure to touch the wood all over, if you know what's good. Belian. Wood. People. Stay. Woke.

Historic information about Kapit and Temenggong Jugah. The place was kept clean and air condition. The aya working there was super friendly, able to communicate in English and Malay, he explain the history of kapit as well. No entrance fee. Toilet avaible.

Back in 2017–2020, this fort was closed to the public. We didn’t get a chance to explore it as we had moved from Kapit to Miri in 2020.

Visited at 15:45 on a Friday. It was supposed to be open, but looked like it hasn't opened in a very long time. I'm sure the workers are still collecting their government salary, though. They should rename this town 'Armpit', because it really is the armpit of Sarawak in every way. What a waste of time and money to visit here! Do yourself a favor and visit Sri Aman instead...
