This was my first time visiting to the Perdana Lake. I arrived at 7am and parked my car at the road side, the cycling lane to be precise as there were no designed parking area at this point, but it's pretty safe parking there I think, seeing quite a lot of people doing this.
I started running at around 7am, and the golden sunrise caught my attention making me can't really focus on running that I kept taking pictures of it. It was a breathtaking scenery.
Numerous cyclists were cycling casually there, runners as well. You can go for a distance of 10km easily, or even up to a half marathon distance, or even more covering all of the tracks.
The track was pretty well paved and it was lit up before 7am and during night, for certain parts of it only, unfortunately. There were some tar roads partially with no lighting, so you might need to prepare some lightings during night or early in the morning before sunrise.
One thing I noticed was, there were no toilets or changing room around the entrance point. If you need it, you have to go further about 2km from the entrance to have one (please correct me if I was wrong).
Overall, it was a wonderful experience running there, with spectacular views, well paved tracks. Suitable for families, couples, cyclists, runners, skateboarders! Will surely visit again...
Read morePreviously, we went there for e-scooter riding, really enjoyed riding around the lake till Ayer8. Tryke app is very easy to use and cheap (RM50/2 scooter/2 hours)
So tonight we come here again but weren’t allowed to ride the scooter by SOME GUYS near the entrance. He said that the security guard would scold him if he lets people ride e-bike/scooter inside the park bcs ‘apparently’, a Minister got hit by the scooter while he was jogging around the lake. I found the story quite fishy when we literally bump into some cycling groups around the lake, and also got lots of people riding scooters around too. so there’s no issue with cycling around the lake. He asked us to ride OUTSIDE the park, along the busy main road which was ridiculous and very dangerous.
We ignored him and still go inside, we just enjoy the night and when we finished our trip, we saw THE GUY kept preventing people to use the Tryke scooter and bike inside the lake area, and we realised he is actually the owner of other brand scooter rental besides the entrance, he offers people 30 minutes ride for RM20. He played dirty with his business and prevent people to use Tryke bikes and scooters inside the lake. So please be aware and just ignore the guy. You CAN and ALLOWED to ride scooters and bikes...
Read moreIt’s an extensive lake, contiguous with the Cyberjaya Lakeside. Honestly I don’t know where one lake starts and the other ends. The lake is so huge that one should decide from early on how many km he/she should cover before returning so as not to overwhelmed oneself. Trust me, you won’t complete a complete loop with these Putrajaya lakeside jogging without significant endurance (this coming from a marathon runner).
I covered around 2km plus with my wife before returning so we covered around 4km plus. The lake is very scenic and the surrounding plants are varied enough that even our brief walk doesn’t feel monotonous. The track is very wide and well lit at dusk. There’s also an emergency activation pole every now and then along the track so it’s very safe. I noticed many people cycled on the track. Might try during my...
