I'm currently a tenant in D Latour, under Hostel Hunting management. This is a very inefficient management which cannot solve problems in a timely manner. This has been an extremely unpleasant experience given that I had rented a lot of other places before. Here are the list of problems with my unit that was repeatedly complained.
Our unit was in a very dirty state with all the previous tenant items with dust and even rotten food in the fridge on our first day here.
Solution: I had told management that I will be moving in on this date and even paid the extra prorate charges as I had move in earlier. Management had us waiting for more than 3 hours to clean the unit and the agent even had to be involved in to clean it. This is first time in four years where Hostel Hunting is the only management allowing an unclean unit.
The induction cooker was broken for more than 2 months. I had issued the complain for more than 5 times and maintenance workers had came twice without being able to fix it.
Solution: Management bought a new induction cooker in 3 months and my stay was 6 months. Keep in mind that it was also mco where I bought ingredients to cook. Little did I know, all of them was wasted.
3 Both me and my housemate access cards were unable to access the lift. From the first day, they gave me a wrong access card. Took them about one month to gave me a correct one and guess what? After 1 month the card did not work again and we stay at 27th floor which caused us so much trouble. Now is about the end of third month and my card is still not working.
Solution: According to management, this is not under their control as it has something to do with D Latour management.
WiFi has been down twice in 4 months and it wasn't the WiFi fault. When accessed, the WiFi's bills has been overdue causing our WiFi to be cut off. This has happened twice, I repeat TWICE in 3 months. We were students with blended learning and suddenly WiFi was cut off causing us to use our own data just to attend class.
Solution: Management took about 2 days to fix this which was relatively fast compared to other problems
The agent told me there was a dryer+washer together and there were no dry function to be seen anywhere as it was a normal washing machine. Clearly, the agent has little knowledge of the unit and inproper training.
Solution : When asked, the management did not even reply the message and ignored it although I only asked once.
For the above reasons, this has been my worst experience in renting a unit and I hope my review can make other tenants life...
Read moreAny students studying in Taylor’s. Please don’t rent the room under livein. They have such a bad service. Hard to communicate with them. If you talking about payment, they sure fast to reply, if you talk about room issue it sure you must wait like hell for them to reply.
I was student in taylor’s during pandemic. Since we can’t afford to pay rent anymore during the covid, they “OFFERED” us to help to pack our things and put it in their storage room because we couldn’t go back to malaysia to pack. Since we’re not in Malaysia and couldn’t do anything about it we just believe that they will do their job and pack our thing thoroughly.
Me and my room did remind them that there were laptops and phone left in the room and they did say okay. Yes, the phone and the laptop were included in the packing. However…. I have 5 perfumes that totally looks new and still have half of it, my backpack, rice cooker, kitchen utilities, some of my documents and still a lot of things are MISSING???
After like 2/3 months of shipping and arrive in my country, we checked that we have lost a lot of items and we were very dissatisfied and disappointed with the service. HOWEVER!! When we asked about the missing items, they just stated that it because they “THINK” the items “AREN’T IMPORTANT” and decide to left them.
ARE YOU SURE THEY LEFT THEM? OR THEY JUST SNATCH IT FOR THEIR OWN. When we asked, they say we couldn’t find it in the storage room and give such a bad argument for us. Sorry i don’t have the proof of chat because i called them directly.
They could say that they decided which one eis important or not. But still i received and “USED” body wash. A box of toothpaste that has nothing inside.
All i can say is please do a better job! I have been sincere about my missing items and hope you “THEFT” could do some good use about it.
This is an old story but doesn’t change the fact that they were a terrible agent. If you want to pack our things, then do it seriously, and not just half of them and don’t decide which one is important because you didn’t even concern to ask. First of all, they have the worst management ever! They treat resident like a prisoner and have the worst attitude! They shout at students like they are our boss! The most frustrated is about the parcel problem. I understand that our parcel can’t collected by the guards but at least let postman to send us a slip or something so that we know that we have a parcel to collect. From what I heard by a postman in skynet he told me that when he passed the slip to the guard they throw it away ! Because the postman are not allow to go in and drop the slip in our mailbox � so how are we suppose to know if we missed our parcel ? ‘Great’ system.
Second of all, they have the worst construction ever! D’latour is a graveyard trust me � Me and my housemates clean our house almost everyday and there will STILL always be a lot of spiders and spider eggs or bugs everywhere, it’s not only our unit it’s the whole building, every unit have the same problem !! Not only that, kitchen and toilet will always emits some kind of smell like ditch. Moreover, the humidity of every units here are very serious ! That’s explain where the bugs and mouldy furnitures come from!! FYI if you ever get sick and stay in a humid house you hardly get recovered �
Third of all, the rental fees is expensive and ridiculous, I pay for 1300 every month for a masterbedroom but I’m staying in a graveyard ? It doesn’t make sense, you’re trying to cheat student’s money, because we are stupid and naive and easy to get cheated �I would rather stay in Sunway area even though I have to jam all the way to Taylor’s at least their house is for human to stay in�
Fourth, The management normally send electricity & water bill lately or one shot together in a month, and they didn’t update after u paid. keep carry forward to the next bill and u need to go management office to clear those bills every times else they say u never pay for the bills. EVERY TIMES
