Mercado Juárez — Attraction in Nuevo León

It's not my favorite place here in Monterrey. Where do I start? Parking is not easy to find. We ended up parking a super tiny lot. Walking is no problem for me, but in this case, the side walks are really messed up and cracked, so you're not walking on flat ground. Once you get inside, it's better. It's so hot and crowded, though. We did find a couple of stands with cute things, souvenirs, etc. I bought traditional dresses for my daughters and those are nice. Also got some fresh fruit. But overall, I would not look forward...

If you are very* sensitive to strong smells I would not recommend going. It had two stories and the top story had the famous”pipiripow” restaurant. It was very occupied when we passed by. The vibe is kinda dark culture side of a market. We got cool little cups for about 8 pesos each. My husband bought an very old lock and we were able to get a copy of the key made at a stall right by a door entrance....

Everything is really cheap and I guess that's great but sanitation inside is not very good and the building seems to be old and outdated .It's a great place to buy mexican folkloric clothes though, they are very pretty and colorful. On the down side there are a lot of people selling herbs and witchcraft stuff in there so the smell is sometimes overwhelming and makes you feel...
