Beautiful spot. If you're spending the day there, I'd recommend starting earlier than 10am or later than 3pm, as the constant tourist boats jostling for a spot gets tiresome by the middle of the day. Peddlers walk the beach selling carvings, blankets, and renting umbrellas. Bathroom is quite a walk away, at the parking lot. No amenities like food, water, etc available. The small reef is very pretty for snorkling, with mostly stony corals, sea urchins, damselfish, Moorish Idols, cleanerfish, small parrotfish, Yellow-Tailed Surgeonfish, and a few larger (deeper) schools of fish I didn't recognize from above (may have been Mackerel or Graybar Grunt). The water was a bit cloudy from winds causing rougher than normal surf, though the waves were still reasonable at 2-4' high, max (we visited in April). The water cleared as the afternoon progressed. Reefs started 30' or so off the shore on either side. I found the sand very coarse and it hurt my feet to walk barefoot, but I just took advantage of the finer sand near the water when I could and wore sandals when we walked back out. Overall, we had a wonderful time and it was the highlight...

Lovely beach with great sand and water protected from wind and waves.

Not what it used to be, however. A resort sits basically seaside now, whereas the each used to stretch back. Public parking is very sparse, same with access. Used to take a taxi or rental and park in the gravel lot and walnut to the beach. Now you have to go through the hotel to the beach.

Bouys mark the swimming area. I guess too many people hurt themselves on sea urchins and rocks so now you cant even get close to the rocks where the underwater life is.

Also seems like too many people went snorkeling that shouldn't have, either due to lack of swimming ability or drunkenness. Tour operators make you wear life vests while in the water now.

With the above combined you can only see the small schools that wait for the tourist snorkeling tours and the food the bring. Seagulls can get a...

This is a hidden gem, our Lyft driver gave us the scoop on this beautiful beach. This beach is perfect for snorkeling, relaxing, and taking pictures, they do not have snorkle rentals or vendors on this beach so bring food and swim gear, there was a shack that rented chairs and umbrellas. The best place to swim and snorkle was all the way to the right and about 2 to 3 hundred feet out over the rocks and coral the water is clearer and Tons of tropical fish. Park in parking lot and walk down to beach. They have showers and bathrooms at the parking lot. Beautiful Amazing Beach. Thousands of beautiful fish that swim with you as if you have crackers in your pockets I only had videos of the fish so I couldn't post the pictures. The best place to see the fish is all the way to the right and a little ways out the water all of a sudden gets super clear

Important things to know: 1. There is constant construction noise that echoes through the bay. You cannot escape it. There will be no realaxing to the sound of the ocean if that was your plan. Just a constant jack hammer noise. It looks like they are developing the entire mountain side, and beachfront restaurants so it'll probably go on for at least another year. 2. The beach is mostly large sand, like little pebbles. Bring footware if this will hurt your feet. (Photo because I haven't see anyone show this up close) 4. This might be the only beach I found in Cabo with a complete handicap walkway AND designated cabana as well. 5. Bring a snorkel/mask. Boat tour companies bring guests here to snorkle for a reason 6. Pick up your trash. That includes food, fruit peels, masks...leave only footprints.
