We had not been back to Talay for a few years, which was great the first time, and this time was even better! Tactful atmosphere, service was good however could have been better, decent list of mixology cocktails (although over $20 each), and the food was creative, flavorful, and artful. For apps we started with the Dumplings, excellent all around, however the Ponzu sauce was a bit sour, the Fried Chicken, wonderful breading that was spot on, breast was a bit overdone but easy to do when frying, the spices were bold, sauce was aromatic and appealing, and the fresh pickles provided a nice touch, then on to the Crispy Pork Belly, very flavorful her salad on top, pork belly was lacking a bit of flavor and was dry but not too crunchy but overall a decent app. Main entrees included the Tiger Fried Rice, which was excellent and full of bold and exotic flavors, Yellow Chicken Curry which again no lack of flavor, chicken was a bit overcooked but overall one of our favorites, and the Pad Thai Shrimp which was very sweet, and most of the family thoroughly enjoyed. For dessert we had the Thai Tea Popsicles, which are such a treat, the Coconut Ice Cream which was heaven, and the Mango dessert which was very good. The Chai Tea with milk is sooo good. Overall, we love Talay, appreciate that they do not hesitate to add flavor which is a common mistake that happens far too often, especially in touristic areas, the food is quality. Prices, especially drinks and cocktails, are certainly on the high side, but in a very nice area and good ambiance. We will return more often and...
Read moreTalay is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Cabo! From the moment you step in, you’re welcomed into a perfect spot that is beautifully designed but doesn’t make you feel like you’re in a hotel. It’s so comfy and inviting, with a relaxed vibe that lets you truly enjoy the experience.
The food is nothing short of spectacular. I’ve tried everything on the menu, and some of my favorites include the dumpling, fried chicken, the Tom Kha soup, and of course, the soft shell crab noodles—I wouldn’t change that dish for anything! And for dessert, the Thai ice lollipop is a must! The quality and freshness of the ingredients truly shine, making every bite unforgettable.
As a local, it’s really important to me to find places like this that not only serve outstanding food but also provide an incredible dining experience. The service at Talay is second to none. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring you have the best experience possible. Whether you’re dining alone, with friends, or on a date, they make you feel like a VIP every time.
Talay is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience. It’s the kind of place where the ambiance, flavors, and service all come together to create something truly special. If you’re in Cabo, this is a must-visit spot that will undoubtedly leave you wanting to return. I can’t...
Read moreHigh end Thai food in Los Cabos? You bet. Talay Thai Kitchen is combines creative and high quality dishes in a super chill environment. Whether you are staying at the Montage or somewhere nearby, I recommend a visit to Talay Thai Kitchen. We especially enjoyed the Thai Dumplings, Charcoal Grilled Satay Chicken, Papaya Salad and the Yellow Fish Curry. Besides the excellent food, the ambience of the restaurant is unique and part of the great dining experience. The kitchen is a food truck with a wood burning grill adjacent to the truck. The vibe in the seating area is really comfortable with beautiful vegetation and lighting. Toping off the experience is the upbeat music. I highly recommend Talay. Great food and excellent service in a super chill...
