Malecón de Melaque — Attraction in Jalisco

It's been 25 years but nice to see that walk to the point looks the same. Per the comment that the place should be cleaner because it's supposed to be touristy, it is but mostly for Mexican tourists from Gaudalahara. It's not Club Med but a real town that isn't all about catering to Gringo's. Most of the Gringo's that winter there are Canadian, if you want more Club Med type surroundings I suggest you stay across the bay in Barra De Navidad. I loved it because the locals weren't there just to serve me but we're going about their day to day business. Loved the beach and walking out to the point to the open Pacific. Excelente lugar para jugar dentro del mar con niños, en el tiempo que estuve ahí el mar estuvo relajado, sin olas grandes ni hoyos en la arena, en la zona rocosa con mucho cuidado puedes entrar, no es profunda la playa, entras y poco a poco vas tomando altura del mar, solo con cuidado ya que una ola puede destantear tu altura ideal en el agua, y los niños juegan a gusto a la orilla por lo mismo, la ola puede subir o bajar la altura del agua, no es caro el lugar, pero barato tampoco, es lo justo, e conocido varias playas y los costos están por lo estándar en hospedaje y comida, hay barato y caro, depende tu economía solo busca bien date tu tiempo para buscar un poco, si vas por la carretera libre con mucho cuidado en las curvas, y si no toleras las rutas así mejor busca la pista, son muchas curvas en serio, muchas curvas. Barra de navidad esta muy cerca de ahí y si buscas artesanía y hospedaje con vista al mar te recomiendo ese lugar y salvavidas en melaque son baratos. Mire personas pescando con caña, si te gusta llévate tu caña de pesca. O al igual venden en melaque muy equipados, mis fotos de playa son de melaque, muy pocas de barra de navidad, centros nocturnos en barra de navidad por muchos, si te gusta la bebida ahí es tu lugar. A beautiful addition to Melaque! Visited with the family, who all enjoyed the walk. The boardwalk is all concrete with nice planters throughout.
