Assisting this temple as a missionary in training was incredible. I love the Aztec/Mayan/Ancient South American inspiration, the grandeur, the pure white stone, and the design aspects shared between the exterior and interior. The fountain and grounds are also breathtaking. It felt like walking through an invisible wall once we entered the property - the noise and haze of Mexico City were dimmed almost entirely and replaced with what I'd describe as a fog of the Holy Ghost; an almost tangible sense of peace. The visitor center was also pretty neat.

Read more3.5 stars. Located behind the zoo (you can see the Mormon church tower from within the zoo grounds) and next to the church itself, it advertises itself as being a museum, but it isn't. There was no info on how or when Mormonism first entered the country. There was a little photo exhibition on the building of this location (which is the largest church outside of the U.S.).
