Playa Careyeros — Attraction in Nayarit

My favorite beach here in Jalisco!

You need to drive down a very uneven gravel road in order to get here, so make sure you have a reliable vehicle. Once you get to the end there are lots of parking spots on the side of the road. OR if you are planning to use the beach chairs and beach tables at the Barracuda Restaurant (while ordering food and drinks of course), you can park in their parking lot!

This beach is the closest I have found to the beaches in the Philippines. The sand is white and soft. Water is torquoise blue and clear. Water is shallow for quite some time. Wave sizes vary as the first time we came they were small and the second time they were frighteningly large. Not many people or vendors. Not many rocks.

This is a favourite beach of ours - it's never crowded, it's clean, the sand is almost white, and the water is a sparkling aqua blue. Best of all, it has an El Barracuda restaurant. I usually make reservations online for a table on the sand. All my guests have loved the experience of sitting in a tranquil setting with a cold beer, guacamole and fish tacos.
