“A Disappointing Experience Despite Great Food”
I came here for lunch with a friend. The food was, as always, excellent—precisely why I’m so frustrated. After enjoying a delicious meal and paying over 3,000 pesos in cash (because, oddly, they don’t accept cards), I asked our waiter if we could use their beach access for a walk and a chat.
The answer? A firm “No.” We were told to exit and walk over 200 meters to use the public access because, apparently, the beach access is “not allowed for the public.”
This wasn’t about freeloading. We had just spent nearly $200, and all I wanted was a short stroll on the sand, maybe even come back for a drink to catch the sunset.
I understand the waiter was following rules, but where was the manager’s judgment in this? There’s a staggering disconnect between the quality of the kitchen and the lack of basic hospitality.
It’s sad to say, but this will be my last visit—not just to this location but to any of their spots in Nuevo Vallarta, Bucerías, Punta de Mita, or wherever they choose to open next.

Read moreBeach front restaurant! Location is perfect for enjoying the sunset. Getting to the restaurant was a bit complicated because we had to take an off beat road that led to a rural village before reaching the restaurant. During the day it’s fine to drive here not sure how safe it is at night.
The restaurant caters to expats. Aside from offering the fresh local seafood. They also offer burgers, ribs and fries. If you go for a cocktail pick one of their signature drinks. I had the sangria which was light and not too sweet.
We had a few assorted plates of seafood: octopus, shrimp cocktail and Peruvian ceviche. All plates had a creamy texture. Service here was slow. Drinks came out fast but food and bill took forever.
Tip: make a reservation. We arrived without and were lucky to get a table. Waitress mentioned the place gets packed for dinner and sometimes they do not...

This may be the best restaurant in all of Sayulita, punta de mita and San Pancho.
They're certainly setting the bar.
Ambiance - beautiful decor, neat tables, very clean restaurant, perfect lighting and happening music Food- ceviche barracuda may be the best I've had in my life, the quesadillas were certainly the best Mexico has to offer, they tried the cheese by itself and then put it inside the quesadilla, creative and delightful Drinks- order the Mezcalita zazarmora Service- the entire staff was one step ahead of us from the time we walked in until the we walked out the door. They anticipated our every need, they went above and beyond
