Visiting Cenote Verde Lucero was a lovely experience, though getting there isn’t the easiest, especially if you’re relying on public transport like colectivos. However, this added difficulty helps keep the place less crowded, making it more enjoyable overall.
The facilities are well-maintained, and the cenote itself is clean and relaxing. For those looking for some adventure, there’s a zip line for extra fun, as well as diving points at 4 and 7 meters for the more daring visitors. The site also features a small bar offering snacks and beverages, which is a nice touch for a break between activities.
It’s worth noting that the monkeys you might see in some photos aren’t part of the cenote or its facilities. They live in the nearby forest and sometimes show up, adding a special touch of nature to the experience if you’re lucky enough to spot them.
While the price is a bit on the high side at 350 pesos per person (around $18), the experience feels worthwhile. However, be prepared for occasional crowds, as adventure tour packages bring groups of up to 20 people each hour with loud music, which can slightly detract from the tranquility.
Overall, Cenote Verde Lucero is a great spot for a relaxing and adventurous day. Highly recommended if you don’t mind the price and can plan your visit...
Read moreI loved this little Cenote. The cost is 300pesos per person. Maybe a little too expensive. The facilities are quite nice, I really liked the spacious change rooms, they are built in a traditional style. The washrooms are not nice, they should upgrade them. The Cenote has a zip line that my hubby jumped from three times :-D it’s pretty deep, from 4 to 65m max so if you are a not so confident swimmer wear a life jacket, it’s included with the cost. There’s a family of monkeys living there, it was fun to watch them. The reception guy was nice and funny. Also there are tables with umbrellas included as well, so you can eat and drink your food there. Nice landscaping as well. We got there around 12-1pm and there weren’t many people, mostly locals. Then a tour group showed up, so it got quite busy and we left. We spent about couple hours there and enjoyed...
Read moreMagnificent place but time your visit well! This cenote is absolutely beautiful and stunning to swim in, there are fish and bats to be observed and the swimming between the tree trunks is marvelous. Facilities are great, clean, well maintained, there is food and drinks or you can have your own picknick. In theory a peaceful and unique place. But for some reason they cooperate with a nearby theme park and the place is regularly overrun by busloads of loud American tourists with their even louder guides bringing their own music boxes - turning the place into a party. From our experience, the best time for a real serene experience would be to come during lunch break, e.g. 12.30-2pm. Earlier (10.30-12.30) it was very busy and we were told that tours resume...
