Ugh, where do I start? We were traveling with my 68 year old stepmom and I booked this place months in advance after hearing it's a more relaxing beach experience than some of the other party places we've been to previously. While I love those places, I was thinking of my stepmom this time around. The only good service we received was the photo lady. She was phenomenal, but it led us to believe this place would be very friendly and positive and it was the complete opposite. Our waiter (Joseph, I believe) was terrrrrible. He came to us with zero explanation of how anything worked and zero menus and asked us what we wanted to drink; pen in hand and ready to get our orders. I asked if I could get a drink menu and he told us they didn't have one (huh?), but he could make whatever we wanted. We were a little stunned that an all inclusive beach resort wouldn't have menus, but we all quickly recovered and rattled off drinks we came up with that we thought we might like. My husband then asked for tequila on ice and we were told no shots allowed. Again, huh? The whole time while getting our orders the waiter seemed distracted and treated us like we were an inconvenience. Not making eye contact and looking all around while we were speaking and ordering. Drinks came out and they were really bad. Flavors were very watered down and little to no alcohol. You know how a drink tastes when you let all of your ice melt? This is how all the drinks tasted when they came out to us. Just funky and not good. I asked for a straw and was told nope, there are none. Try drinking a thick, frozen margarita with no straw out of a tall skinny cup. You end up with more on your face and chest than you do in your mouth. It was a mess. Then we got THE food menu. Yes, ONE menu to a 6 person party. We asked for a few more and were told no. Mind you, he had a huge stack in his hand and this place was not full by any means. There's a 130 person limit here. You should have 130 menus, right? Anyway, we were given zero instruction on how any of the food ordering goes or what you get for your all inclusive price, so we just picked what we wanted and ordered. We skipped the appetizer section and went straight for entrees. There was a very limited selection and the options weren't great, but we made the most of it and put our orders in. The food came out and it was a letdown. Very small portions and things weren't at all what we expected. Fried chicken tacos were actually just taquitos. A chicken sandwich was literally cold lunch meat. It was wild, but we ate and figured we would just order something else a little while later when we got hungry again. Our waiter came back around and we tried to do just that and were told that we could not have two entrees, and that now we needed to order from the appetizer or dessert menu. Excuse me, what? Why wouldn't you have made that clear when we all skipped the appetizers and ordered entrees? With better customer service and communication from our waiter, that could have been easily avoided. A simple "You can choose one item from every section of the menu" upfront would have been great. At this point we had been told no about very simple things so many times that we were beginning to feel like we wasted our money. No drink menus, no straws, no shots, one menu per party, can't have two entrees, etc. All of that would have been much easier to deal with if our waiter was nice and explanatory, but bad service and a subpar "all inclusive" experience made this place such a huge letdown. The icing on the cake was both of my teenagers getting stung by jellyfish within 5 minutes of entering the ocean. We've been to cozumel numerous times and have stayed all over the island and have never even seen a jellyfish. That was all we needed to take the universe's hint and pack up and leave after only two hours. $383 for two hours of bad service, mediocre food, yucky drinks, and a stretch of ocean no one wanted to get in anymore was all we could stomach. There is no amount of money that would make me stay somewhere I was...
Read moreOur experience here was so shockingly poor that I’m questioning all of the good reviews. If you are an influencer who has recently reviewed this resort, I question your veracity and will probably Unfollow you
This resort is very unkept. All the photos online appear to be years old. We have been to many beach clubs in Cozumel. Always have a great time. This is the first time I’m leaving a negative review
The service was abysmal. You were guided to your seat, and we were sat in front of a huge pile of stinking rotting seaweed (I will be posting photos) While I understand, the seaweed has been a problem in this area of the world, the other three beach clubs we have recently visited all made accommodations to clean their beach. At some of the more rustic resorts we have found the service was so good, that it made up for the seaweed inconvenience
The service here was nonexistent . After being initially sat down, our waiter disappeared and did not return until we made the decision to get up and walk to the bar ourselves. At that point, he decided to come back and ask us if we needed anything, but we had already been to the bar.
The menu was ok. The food served, when we could put in an order after multiple attempts at getting someone’s attention was marginal. A lot of it had been very Americanized. They were odd versions of Mexican food or of what a Mexican person might think an American wants for Mexican food? It wasn’t good. It didn’t feel fresh, or authentic in anyway.
There were no amenities at this resort! Bad Wi-Fi and nobody could tell you how to use it. Things that were promised online just weren’t there. Don’t expect floaty mats or kayaks. Don’t expect to be able to pay more for boat rides. We saw the boat go out once and then it seemed to have mechanical issues and they parked it for the rest of the day (stuff happens I guess)
We tried to book a massage and the massage lady told us to go back to our chairs and someone would be around. Sometime later, a man came around, asking us if we wanted to book a massage and we asked about prices and he turned around and walked away. What? Very odd.
The pool was ice cold. Now this was very strange because it was a decently warm day, and we are in Mexico. We are from the north and can often handle very cold water compared to what other people prefer, but it was unusable. The hot tub was cramped with everyone at the resort that day, which wasn’t a lot of people, but it was a small, hot tub, so it was essentially unusable.
Most of our time at the resort, there were men cleaning up the resort, like doing labor around, not actually working like with the guest, just like working on the maintenance of the resort. That seemed odd, and really took away from the relaxing atmosphere.
I will not be back to this resort. I will use one of the others that we normally go to or will try one of the many others along the stretch of beach. For the price we paid, This was not a good deal.
Please don’t misunderstand, this is not a good rustic beach club, and it certainly is not the luxury club it advertises...

Things they do I’m not a fan of: They claim they’re the only ones who still aren’t crowded when they reach capacity. Paradise Beach isn’t and it does it well. The first woman you see is pushy, deceptive, and will try to force you to take a photo.
My husband and I arrived here before 10am. There were several palapas available near the beach and pool area, but we were told they were full and booked up already. That if we wanted one, we’d have to walk another 100 ft or so. We opted out of the tiki hut, for shade close to the pool, restroom, and bar areas.
Literally right after we’d placed our things and tried to get comfortable, and a group of 7 people who arrived after us were given a palapa close to the pool.
When my husband notified him that we’d arrived first, their excuse was that those who were in larger groups were given the tikis in priority spots. It is not on a first come, first served basis and no reservations for them are taken.
20+ minutes later and still no waiter had come and introduced themselves to us. The kitchen doesn’t open until 10:30am. When we tried to order at 12:20pm, we were told “the kitchen is closed for a few minutes, because we’re busy.”
And then comes the swift smell of sewage from the bathrooms.
Policies: Paradise Beach and Mr. Sanchos have flexible refund policies. Nachi Co Com will not allow cancellations unless there’s an 14 day notice and don’t respond to emails.
The woman who takes and delivers the photos is rude.
Workarounds: if you cannot find a waiter on the beach, it’s faster to order drinks directly from the bar, and food under the large palapa with tables.
Positives:
After noticing us waiting for a while, the manager did assist us with food, drinks etc. He and the waiter who delivered the food from the order we gave to the manager, called for our taxi. He was very nice as well.
Monica, my masseuse was the absolute BEST!!! Well worth the $60 and tip. She and the massage staff earned Nachi their 2nd star.
I did like how they had 2 sets of restrooms: -one set of 2 stalls on the back part of the beach, and another set near the gift shop of 3 stalls.
The food was quite delicious. The drinks were hit or miss.
Not a con, but not a pro either:
Overall: Do not recommend. Had Paradise Beach Club not been at capacity, we would’ve went there. Neither are perfect but PBC...
