If you judged this place by it's appearance from the highway you might just drive by. But that would be a mistake! The outdoor seating is covered and has a very roadside Mexican diner feel to it. Although it is simplistic, it is clean, relaxing and comfortable. Server spoke english and was attentive. The food is excellent!! We had a single chicken burrito with refried beans as a side to share. The Burrito is Huge and easily shared by two. It was very well made and tasty. When you combined the burrito with the refried beans (which were amazing) and the red (medium spice) sauce you simply can't stop eating it was so good. Highly recommend to anyone driving by or staying across the...

Google maps says El Chipo is a couple hundred feet south of Iguana’s, but it’s not. It’s the building directly north. We asked our cab driver to take us to El Chipo and he didn’t know what it was, so we used Iguana’s as a reference point.

The gentleman who helped us was so kind, welcoming, and friendly. This seemed like a family run place. We got free chips (we were happy to find they were salted for any other Americans who missed salt on their tortilla chips) and some of the best pico I’ve tasted on the island. The food was delicious and made excellent leftovers. We enjoyed the relaxed, inviting atmosphere and appreciated the hospitality of the...

Exploring Cozumel on a rented scooter is a fantastic way to discover hidden gems like El Chipo. This restaurant boasts incredible food, generous portions, and the friendliest ambiance on the island. Don't miss their mouthwatering Tacos al Pastor!

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the owner with a smile and complimentary chips and salsa. The restaurant's inviting atmosphere and well-curated music selection added to the overall enjoyment of our dining experience.

Great, delicious food and very friendly atmosphere! Definitely worth to try when in Cozumel! The food was absolutely amazing 🤤 and the owner very nice- we've been chatting with him for a while after lunch and he did recommend trying other places on the island which unfortunately we haven't been able to visit due to going home the next day (except Marquesitas in the city centre- worth a try!😊), but all saved for the next trip. Very recommended to visit and try the food! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ we'll definitely be back here next time in Cozumel! 😁

HIDDEN GEM! While riding around the island my husband saw their sign and we pulled in for a quick drink to discover the most delicious tacos we’ve ever had. I ordered the al pastor & chorizo tacos while my husband had the chicken tacos. Perfecto! We will definitely be back for more during our stay here. Arturo is incredibly nice and so awesome to talk to. He even offered to bring our table inside when it started pouring down rain, but we were enjoying the mist to cool down. The food and drinks are a steal!
