My boyfriend and I just got back from here a week ago- we did four nights, five days at the resort. Overall, our stay was amazing. Hospitality and staff were always friendly and provided great service whether you were at the pool, beach or around the resort. Everything was clean, lots of activities during the day and evening. Very kid friendly. Resort is about 40 mins away from the airport and the resort doesn’t offer shuttles so you either pay for a shuttle bus to get to Playa Del Carmen and then taxi from there or take a taxi straight there. Single trip from airport to resort costs approx 1000 pesos ($80CDN). I’m giving a four star and not a five for the following areas: All the a la carte restaurants (with exception of the Mexican one) was sub par. Surprisingly, the best food we had was at the buffet- it had a variety of options, everything was delicious. Available for breakfast, lunch and dinner and you won’t be disappointed. The pool seating area was a bit problematic- we learned on the second day when we got to the pool around 10AM that people had placed towels on the seats to ‘reserve’ them but would be gone for hours (the number of people in the pool did not reflect how all the chairs were taken). We didn’t like the idea of this but had no choice but to come out at 830am the next morning to leave towels on chairs before we went inside for breakfast just to make sure we had a seat.

We had such an amazing experience that we ended up getting the day pass four times! The beach was incredibly clean and peaceful, with far fewer crowds than other places we've visited—exactly what we needed to unwind. The staff was genuinely attentive, always making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. There was a great variety of dishes, something for every taste, and everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. And of course, the unlimited drinks were the cherry on top, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beach vibes. This place truly delivered the perfect balance of comfort, luxury, and tranquility. Highly recommended if you're looking to relax, chill, and treat yourself.

The only way to go to this resort is if you are an exclusive member. Otherwise it is a so so experience. I paid to upgrade and still couldn't enjoy the basic additions like covered cabanas like I was told would be included with the upgrade. Room service does not come if it is raining which is the one time you want to use it. And we left a pack of cigarettes on the table on our terrace and someone stole them leaving a muddy foot print and all. The employees are nice but you are overwhelmed with the constant requests to take you on a tour to become a exclusive member. The seaweed coming up on the shore makes it almost impossible to enjoy the beach.

In general, quite a good place for vacation. But one big minus, in the reception some people seem not professional. We have decided to do upgrading and were supposed to change our room at 3 pm (as we agreed with personal in the reception in advance). When we came to the reception to change the keys, they said that room is not ready and we need to wait for another 15-30 min. At 3:30 we called them that we are ready and they answered that bellboy will come soon to help with our baggage. In 30 minutes we called them again and they told it will be for 3 minutes more. Finally, 4:20 pm, nobody came to help us with our stuff and no one called with some explanation. So, we did it ourselves. We travelled with 11 month baby, so we had quite a lot of stuff. Unfortunately, we wasted our time, because people can't explain real situation and gave promises which they can't keep. One more thing,in the very beginning when we decided to do the upgade, they told us to leave our current room at 10 am, and the new room would be ready at 3 pm. After long talking and explaining that it is not comfortable with a small baby and asking why they need so much time to clean the room, they allowed us to stay till 12, then after some more explanation, they allowed us to stay in the old room until the new one is ready. so beware of the upgrading process. It doesn't matter that you paid extra for the upgrade or that you have a small baby, you may be kicked out of your room and then wait for a hour for the bellboy to help you...
