Restaurante Grill — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

Steakville Grill and Smokehouse, located inside Hotel Catalonia, offers a mixed experience. The highlight was definitely the service—efficient, extremely friendly, and knowledgeable. Manuel, our server, was excellent and made us feel very welcome.

The food, however, didn’t live up to the same standard. They offered four cuts of meat: New York strip, picanha, arrachera, and beef tenderloin. I went with the picanha, which was recommended as the best, but it turned out to be quite tough and lacked the flavor we’re used to back home in Dallas. The fish was okay, but out of the three places where we had fish during our stay, this was my wife’s least favorite. The mashed potatoes were bland, and no steak sauce was offered, which would have helped.

Appetizers were decent—the Caesar salad was fine, and the lobster bisque was actually quite good. We skipped dessert.

Only four of our party were able to make reservations (13 of us) but they graciously accommodated our needs when we all showed up at 9:00. The hostess was so nice. Our server was Secundino and he was extremely efficient. Our drinks never got below half full, tables was pre bussed, he made great recommendations and took care of all our needs. It was my wife’s 50th birthday and they came out and sang for her. They really made us feel special and went above and beyond. The food was delicious and generous servings. If you by chance do want more to eat or want two desserts they bring it out to you without making you feel bad. We loved our experience here and highly recommend it....

I am staying on vacation at playa Maroma. And out of all the restaurants at the resort including the Buffett. Steakville has been the freshest and tastiest and all the waitors such as manuel edgardo y alexander ,are so simpatico.Luis as the manager also eleazar is very accommodating and very professional as well. I’m a huge conessiur of steak so when I get good food I will compliment it. When you get ambiance , hospitality and taste all in one it’s 10/10 I’ve been here maybe 5 or 6 times out of my trip.
