The living conditions for some of the larger carnivores has been improving. Their cages are roomier and have fresh water running. Smaller animals like coyotes and raccoons still seemed a bit cooped up and sad, but keep up the good work. I hope some day all of the animals enjoy the freedom and dignity the jaguar does. Birds seem fine, although putting so many different species into one tall cage might not be their idea of fun. The iguana glass box seems like it needs updating; I think one (or more) of the heating light bulbs was out. There used to be three pigs (like in the classic story 😀), but unfortunately they just simply seemed to have vanished. Moreover, the cougar that was caught roaming (and terrorizing) the city has not been put on display. I hope it gets a nice enclosure too, like the jaguar. I think it went through a lot and deserves a relaxing home for the rest of its life. Finally, props to zoo visitors, all I have witnessed is respect and admiration for the animals.
