The Michael Garden (Mikhaylovskiy Sad) is situated between Moyka River, Saviour of the Spilled Blood Church, Russian State Museum and Michael Palace that makes a nice place to visit during visits to St. Petersburg. Opening hours are 10am to 10pm (May to October).

Not as well known as the Summer gardens, where everybody goes, which is great. That means this park is not as overcrowded like its neighbor. As well good that the entrance to the Russian museum is not in the park side. All of this make this park the perfect way to rest after visiting the church on the spilled blood. My advice, and I hope not everybody will follow it (the park will become overcrowded as well), is this is the perfect place to rest. Enjoy it.

Both Mikhailovsky Garden and Square are great places to relax and watch Saint Petersburg.

Wheelchair users: You should also always call ahead to find out if there is wheelchair access to bars, clubs, museums, and restaurants. In most cases the answer, sadly, will be in the negative. Alternatively, assume it is inaccessible and hire a few people to lift you and your chair up the stairs, and then be sure to pay very generously for the assistance.
