The Mohamed V Mosque, also known as the Great Mosque of Casablanca, is a beautiful and significant religious site located in Casablanca, Morocco. Here is a real review of the mosque: I had the opportunity to visit the Mohamed V Mosque during my trip to Casablanca, and I must say that it left a lasting impression on me. The mosque's architecture is simply stunning, with its intricate details and grandeur. The combination of traditional Moroccan and modern architectural styles is truly remarkable. Upon entering the mosque, I was immediately struck by its vastness and peaceful atmosphere. The interior is equally as impressive as the exterior, with a large prayer hall adorned with beautiful chandeliers and exquisite tile work. The attention to detail is evident throughout the mosque, and it reflects the rich cultural heritage of Morocco. One of the highlights of my visit was the opportunity to climb to the top of the minaret. From there, I was rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the city of Casablanca. It was a truly humbling experience to witness the city from such a height and appreciate the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Another notable aspect of the mosque is its historical significance. Named after the former king of Morocco, Sultan Mohamed V, it serves as a testament to the country's history and the importance of religion in Moroccan society. It also houses the tombs of the late king and his two sons. Throughout my visit, I was impressed by the cleanliness and the respectful behavior of both the visitors and the mosque staff. The mosque is well-maintained, and there are strict guidelines in place to ensure the preservation of its beauty and sanctity. Overall, my experience at the Mohamed V Mosque was truly awe-inspiring. It is a must-visit attraction for anyone traveling to Casablanca. Whether you are interested in architecture, history, or simply seeking a place of tranquility, the mosque offers a captivating experience that will leave a lasting impression.

We visited the mosque on Friday for Jummah prayer. It was about a 50 minute walk from Iberostar Founty beach hotel but we stopped on the way for shopping and the boys were with us too so they needed to take breaks as they were getting tired. Jummah prayer was at 2pm and we arrived in good time. The khutbah was beautiful and the architecture of the mosque was splendid. There are poor people in Agadir and especially outside the mosque too so keep some money to donate to the poor. And no you don’t need money to enter the masjid during prayer times.

Only opens for prayer times. Beautiful Masjid outside and In. Accidently went through the main enterace thinking there would be access to the womens area. Managed to see the main prayer space which is Beautiful before being told the women's entrance is at the back of the Mosque and doors would be unlocked to allow entrance.

Very nice mosque, had the pleasure of praying Jummah there. There is a car park opposite the mosque, but fills up quickly. Sperate entrance for men and women. Usually closed until 15 to 20min before salah begins. For Jummah it opens a lot earlier.
