I wish I could have enjoyed the exhibition by the photojournalist Reza. However, in spite of the exhibition’s bold and humanitarian intentions, I feel severely disheartened by lapses in curation. Read moreBeautiful place, a bit far from city center, which makes it hard to get to, compared to the Other museums in Rabat. But it deserve a visit. The fort is magnificent, the location on the coast adds some magic to the scenary.
As for the museum, it is not the best I've visited so far. The Exhibitions are not enough for the national museum of photography. It has a lot of room for improvements, adding more photographs and maybe openning up more places in the Forteress would make it among the best.
I had the chance to visit during Kourtna Exposition, which was about Moroccan football and the passion of Moroccan people for it. To be honnest it was awesome, and added a lot life and charm to the museum.

Read moreThe museum is situated on Avenue Mokhtar gazoulite by the sea and next to the sports park. the entrance of the museum is clean and has green spaces around it. Inside, there are plenty of photography work, surrounding the museum there is an outdoor exhibition area which looks up to the sea. the view is fantastic and you can hear the waves whilst you are walking around there is literally sea water few meters away and plenty of space to sit down and enjoy the seabreeze. I recommend taking lunch with you and chill out and enjoy the sea front. The building itself has a history and it looks like it was some sort of ww1 mega gun defense line, I would assume it was built by the Germans or French ? maybe if you have an idea about that please drop...
