RUDE AND AGGRESSIVE meets VERY KIND AND THOUGHTFUL. While the open area in Taroudant is quite nice, the salespeople are quite aggressive. I was quite shocked at how aggressive and confronting many people in the market area of this town were. The little shops that sell daily staples like bread and sweets are run by very kind people. The touristy area is the first place I’ve ever been accosted and then VIOLENTLY SWORN AT by a “local guide” someone trying to get us to visit shops he determined we should. Don’t let the name fool you because it’s not nearly as big as one in agadir but it’s really nice and colourful. You can find anything from clothing to spices and fruits. Spent there 1 hour and getting lost in maze of stalls was unique experience on its own. Can’t say i saw any hustler and was feeling safe and secure whole time.
