I thought this was for beginners 😳🙄🤠 I read reviews, pictures, etc . however I didn't expect it to be this tough.🤣 It's my second time hiking. I mean real hiking!😄 But what I expect with this climb is something like 30 degrees climb or sloping hills. I was shocked especially in the second part of the trail. The boulders are humongous, the climb is so steep, and the rocks are all sharp. I'm panting in every step I take under the scorching sun 🌞( we started late at around 9 am). It's just good I bought real hiking shoes from Merrel 🥾 Also the hydration bag from Decathlon.🏜 Ahhhh they are saviors 🙏. I also got bitten by plenty of mosquitoes🦟 uggghhh😬. Which brought us to our tour guide - she was only wearing sandals 😉 . But it's just all light and easy for her. 😃 Amazing 😄Yay! Can you believe that? She's so petite - maybe around 4'9" 😆, but she can pull me like a "horse". 🐴. Thanks so much for your patience mam.😁. Will I go back? OMG! I still would love to try other mountains🏞. But this time I will review and research more. Yes maybe I could still climb, but next time I'll make sure it's really for the "beginners of all beginners."😄 Hahaha. But everything is all worth it once you reached the top. I only reached the 2nd highest view deck. I guess that's all I can afford to do. I felt like I'm going to die of a heart attack or something. I'm panting every step I take, every climb I make with these sharp jagged edges on a hot summer 🔅 afternoon. I thought I will just collapse at any time. But fortunately, I made it. I didn't dare to reach the highest level though when I learned I will just hang on the ropes at a 90 degrees angle. I thought of all my family and loved ones at that very instant☺. All I can say is that you will forget everything once you get there🗻. I was just mesmerized by the beauty of God's gifts to us. All the while I thought the hard part was over. I now realized going down is more horrific and exhausting 😳😬 Truly, this is one of the most memorable 😄 and fearless things I had ever done. Now maybe this review of mine will give a " clearer" picture of all those beginners out there. But again this is all just me. It's my personal experience and other reviews could be different from mine. Overall this hike is fun, unique, draining, and one of the most truly rewarding adventures I had had. 😅. I love that I made it this far, making me more proud of myself for accomplishing this goal. Just have to be more prepared next time☺. This I would say, is one of the most gratifying experiences for me.🙏😆🏞 Surely I'm looking forward to the...
Read moreOur adventure began at the break of dawn, around 5:15 AM, when we embarked on our trek up Mt. Pamitinan. The early start was perfect as the cool morning air energized us for the journey ahead. Our group moved at a steady pace, and after forgetting our time goal, we reached the summit. Along the way, we paused for some picture-taking moments. One notable spot was the majestic Balite tree, which stood as a silent witness to our trek. Its massive trunk and sprawling branches made for a perfect backdrop for our first group photo. Further along the trail, we encountered a large rock formation. Here, some adventurous hikers dared to go rock climbing, showcasing their bravery and strength. Midway through our climb, we came across a small stall selling drinks and snacks. We affectionately called it "7-Eleven." This stop provided a much-needed break and allowed us to recharge with some refreshments before continuing our ascent. As we progressed, I had an unexpected encounter—I got stung by a bee. The sting added a bit of drama to the trek, but it didn't deter me from pressing on. Our local guide recorded a video of the major ascent nearing the summit. The trail, which had been relatively easy at the start, began to present more challenges. The path grew steeper, and the rocks became pointy and more difficult to navigate. Although we wore gloves to protect our hands, I still managed to hit my knee against one of the rocks, causing a minor cut. Despite the injury, the excitement of reaching the peak overshadowed any pain. Our two athletic members, my son and his girlfriend, seemed unfazed by the strenuous climb and kept up their energy throughout the trek. The rest of us, however, found ourselves out of breath, especially during the final ascent.Upon reaching the summit, marked at 426 meters above sea level, we were greeted with a breathtaking view that made every step worthwhile. At the summit, there was a particular area known as the "cliffhanger." This rock formation dared us to pose dangerously close to the edge, resulting in some truly awe-inspiring photos. Standing at the peak, the sense of accomplishment was overwhelming. We took in the panoramic vistas and captured the moment with more photographs, ensuring that the memories of this adventure would last a lifetime.Though the trail had its easy and difficult sections, the overall experience was exhilarating. The journey tested our endurance but rewarded us with unforgettable sights and a sense of triumph that only comes from...
Read more2 hrs travel from Balagtas, Bulacan. The tour guides are so accommodating and also the community. They are well organized and kind. The view at the summit won't disappoint you.
We took UV express at Tabang to Cubao at 2:30am it cost for about PHP 75 that time I guess. It takes less than an hour to travel to Cubao
At Farmers Cubao, we look for another UV express (besides Jollibee) that will take us to Rodriguez, Rizal or just ask people there where are the UV for Mount Pamitinan.
It takes for about 30mins to 45mins travel to Rodriguez, Rizal then we drop off right at the tricycle terminal going to Mount Pamitinan.
The tricycle will bring you to the DENR office there where you will pay some sort of entrance fee or for preservation I guess and you'll sign a waiver. Also, you will meet your tour guide there. (It will be much easier if you have a contact tour guide there)
It is challenging but the view at the top is much more worth it! It is best when it is about to...
