Alright, so climbing Everest was supposed to be the hardest thing I’ve ever done. And it was—until I locked eyes with a 6’2” sentient disco ball standing halfway up the South Summit.
Let me set the scene: I’m wheezing like a dying accordion, every inch of my body screaming, and seriously debating whether I should just lie down and let nature take me. The wind is howling, my friend is pretending not to regret bringing me, and then—through the blizzard—I see him.
Edward. Freaking. Cullen.
Standing there, glowing like a stupid statue. No jacket. No hat. No oxygen. Just pure, unbothered sparkle. Bro didn’t even have shoes on!
I blinked. He shimmered harder.
At this point, I’m 90% sure I’m hallucinating from oxygen deprivation, but then he tilts his head all dramatic and mutters, “You shouldn’t be here.”

I tried to respond, but all that came out was a faint wheeze and possibly my soul leaving my body. He just sighed like he was deeply disappointed in my existence which is creepy and then casually sprinted straight up the mountain.
No ice axe. No crampons. Just raw supernatural leg power. Bro looking like a rat climbing a tree.
Meanwhile, I’m over here clinging to a rope like a sad piñata, wondering if my Sherpa would be willing to carry me the rest of the way.
Anyway, five stars. Everest was cool, but no one warned me about the high-altitude vampire sightings. Would...

Read moreUnderrated spot fr. Perfect for families with small, venerable children preferably if your kid has underlying health conditions as this is a very safe hike. Just remember to bring a coat as it does get chilly near the top I made that mistake last time when I climbed with flip flops and shorts but I still made it no hassle. The hikes about 30 minutes so quick and easy but there’s very little spots to eat on the way so bring a packed lunch! The way down is nice and quick as there is a little sled spot (I pushed my infant down the mountain teehee dont tell the wife 🫢. Baby was fine tho. Overall great experience but very hard to find parking 😡 people kept yelling YOU CANT DRIVE UP THE MOUNTAIN, so I just ran them...
