Kronenburg Shopping Center — Attraction in Arnhem

To be completely honest, I'll most likely never set foot in the place again.

First off its layout is highly unlogical, it's not completely like walking in a circle but it lacks flow.

Second off, there's a lot of children playing in the mall. Not that I have anything again children playing but when you're trying to have a quite stroll and they're racing about on stunt scooters and skateboards it tends to become quite annoying quite quickly. As there is no real supervision or security to ward them off its slightly a nuisance.

Now in general I'm a person whom gets along with everyone. I don't tend to see negatives in people but here in this Mall I found that friendliness wasnt the vibe. Quite a lot of asocial people, to the point where it even felt intimidating.

Besides the fact that in the oh-so liberal Netherlands shops are allowed to be open on Sunday the only ones that had the doors open were the supermarket, big bazaar and shoeshop.

Really big shopping centre with a large free car park (sheltered and unsheltered areas). There are about 3 sitting down places to eat. I would recommend "La Couronne luncheon" with its friendly customer service (one of the staff, he voluntarily offered to translate the menu into English for us as we stood trying to translate it with our Google translate photo app, to decide what to have for lunch!) Delicious food and drinks (we had the fresh smoothies during the hot July day!). There is also a library on top floor level (ground, first, second level accessible by escalators & lifts for wheelchair and prams) and money exchange office. Free to use clean separate gender toilets. Shops include for Fashion, Sweets/Chocolate/Candy shop, Health shops - Organic/Free-from products, Outlet clothes & homewares, Big Bazaar, 2 large Supermarkets (with trolley available, including A.H.), fresh flowers, dried nuts/food stalls, butchers & bakery. My rating is for McDonald. I was there on 14 August 2025 at 6:15 PM. I asked the employee to give me a salt. She said that they don’t have. I asked her if she can bring it to me from the kitchen and put it in a tissue so I can use it she said that they don’t have it in the In the kitchen neither I told her this is so weird. I’m in a restaurant and I’m asking for assault and it’s not available. She called her colleague. They were talking in Dutch so I didn’t understand and she said there is nothing that she can do for me and they don’t have the salt.
