The view is cool (you can see Hooiberg and you can see the cruise ships at a far distance) and it is free, hence the 4 stars.
But there isn't any information about the rocks. There seemed to be a lot of fire pits along the back side of the rocks but they seemed somewhat modern; what are they? I had read there were traces of ancient drawings but haven't seen anything.
All in all I would say go there, climb the rocks (it is a short and easy climb on stairs (unless you are really out of shape); there are two different paths you can take) and watch the view. Aruba is so flat that you really don't have to go high to get a view.
I want to add that when we arrived there (by car), there were lots of tour buses blocking the road and unloading people. They should get a better...
Read moreA cool tourist location, stop on the way to or coming back from a bunch of other historical landmarks in the area. We went to baby bridge and the natural bridge as well as the gold rush house building and on the way back we saw the rock formations and decided to stop climb them and take some photos. Great overview of that part of the city/town. A quick little stop to take good photos see the natural habitat and environment and then depart. Parking is not bad, the rock formations are pretty steep, so make sure you wear some comfortable shoes to be able to climb in. They have and railings for people who may need them to assist with climbing up and or climbing down. I’d recommend it as a visiting...
Read moreSurprisingly, we climbed all the way to the top and quickly made our way back down after witnessing the breath taking view. My husband watched the guide and a group and we copied what they did so no tickets were needed for us. One of the things I love about Aruba is they are not like other money hungry tourist attractions. You can enjoy yourself at your own pace and on your own budget! We missed nothing and enjoyed everything! My only advice is, brush up on properly using traffic roundabouts before you go if you plan to drive. The locals are wiiiiild and follow no road rules as we are accustom to in America. You just gotta be safe but swift with...
