Wijk aan Zee is a beautiful, wide sandy beach with plenty of space to walk, relax, or just watch the waves. The beach itself is nice and sandy. Like any Dutch beach, it is very crowded on a hot day. The North Sea is a far cry from the Mediterranean. The water looks dirty and brown, and you can hardly see your own hand, let alone your feet. You see industrial smoke from the factories of Ijmuiden in the distance. It doesn't sound all that charming, does it? Still, this is where we sometimes choose to go, especially on a hot day as the parking is easier and the traffic is less than going to Bloemendaal or Nordwijk (where the views are better but you still have the same dirty...

Ein herrlicher Ort für lange, entspannte Spaziergänge!

Wir haben den Strand von Wijk aan Zee im Rahmen eines Spaziergangs besucht und waren absolut begeistert. Der Strand ist breit, naturbelassen und herrlich ruhig. Genau das Richtige, um dem Alltag zu entfliehen und frische Nordseeluft zu tanken.

Schon beim Ankommen merkt man, hier geht es deutlich entspannter zu als an vielen anderen Küstenorten. Keine überlaufenen Promenaden oder Touristenmassen, sondern einfach viel Raum, Weite und eine Atmosphäre, die entschleunigt. Der Sand ist angenehm fein, das Rauschen der Wellen beruhigend und man kann stundenlang laufen, ohne dass es langweilig wird.

Besonders schön ist der nahtlose Übergang in die Dünenlandschaft, die dem Ganzen noch mehr Natürlichkeit und Abwechslung verleiht. Auch als Ort zum Durchatmen, Innehalten oder für ein kleines Picknick zwischendurch eignet sich der Strand perfekt.

Ob allein, zu zweit oder mit der Familie, wer einen Platz sucht, an dem man in schöner Umgebung einfach mal den Kopf frei bekommt, ist hier genau richtig.
