UNTAMED
I love what RMC did here: a terrific layout, but those trains… :-(
First the bad news: Not only do they have a seatbelt, but also shin guards which are especially painful for tall people. This is the Netherlands 🇳🇱 - with some of the tallest people in the world! Also, the seatbelts make it so that it takes longer to check everything because now the staff needs to walk past twice before dispatching the train. This then leads to stacking, causing less dispatches per hour, meaning less people on the coaster per hour, and that results in a longer queue.
But…
The rest is great! I love how it gets you hyped up with that dispatch sound and first outer bank before you even get up the lift hill.
The coaster is not tall at all which means that the drop is not all too great. Now, you still get a great pop of airtime but it is not very sustained. After that you go over a small speed hill which is good, because it gives airtime AND lateral G-forces. After this you move up into a double inverting corner stall. This whips you 270* to the right giving you some awesome floater airtime before letting you hang there on your side for a second, and then whipping you back 270*.
Then you move into a double up where the last one, once you hit the top, whips you into a banked diving turn to the left. To go straight into a camelback full of airtime which gives great ejector airtime followed by an outerbank air time hill that gives awesome airtime and lateral g-force. After this you go into your turnaround, a step-up under flip (A zero g roll into a downwards turn)
Then the return trip begins. Here are the elements you will find: step up into an airtime hill into a step down (fast pops of ejector airtime) 140* stall this flips you almost upside down but then whips you back down. (The forces are not to much, but it is a nice interruption between all the airtime.) Overbank turn (the worst element of the ride: no G-force) set of small bunny hops full of ejector airtime Slow barrel roll (full of hangtime) And finally: step up into the brakes
Funnily enough I find it to be a bit too smooth. It really feels like you’re floating which makes it feel more “gracefull”. Where, if you have a small vibration or shake it feels more like you are going to die, which makes it more exciting.
Overall =
It is a very good ride but it is a bit too repetitive, it doesn’t have that feeling of speed and the trains are hot...
Read moreFantastic RMC Hybrid. Best coaster in the Netherlands, by far! The pacing is out of this world. It has some nice theming throughout the queue. Every Inversion is very whippy, the ride is glossy smooth. And the airtime... The amount and the quality of the airtime is out of this world. Every hill, turn and inversion has airtime. Some give good floater airtime, but all the hills and small bunny hops feature ridiculously strong moments of ejector airtime. I prefer the back row because the pacing feels better there, but most inversions feel a little more out of control in the front row. Try to get some room between you and the lap bar, otherwise the airtime can start to hurt a little, but that can be a good thing to. This ride is not tame, at no point....
Read moreTHE BEST AIRTIME ON ANY COASTER IN EUROPE🙌 Untamed has 0 dead spots. I think the theming is also really cool. You start off with an outerbank wich is really fun. Then you go up the lifthill. The drop is really nice but not that intense, the bunny hop after doesn’t deliver much to no airtime. The 270° double inverting corner stall is so weird but great. After that it’s just Ejector airtime after ejector airtime mixed with some whippy inversions. But a big tip from me: Try to not have the seatbelt under your lapbar because it could hurt on the strong airtime moments. But remember: “Please fasten only your seatbelt and leave your lapbar open-an employee will close...
