The Story of Edam Cheese by Henri Willig — Attraction in Edam-Volendam

We went here back in 2021 (Sorry for taking so long to leave a review) the owner was an absolute gentleman. I’m fairly certain he knew we were very stoned yet he relished in making me milk the fake cow whilst chuckling away. The whole tour was informative and a very enjoyable experience. Me and my partner got a ride out of Amsterdam just to experience this and honestly it was absolutely worth it, not just the amazing cheese (the cheese was absolutely brilliant). The highlight had to be when I got to dress my autistic girlfriend up in a cheese bonnet and take comedic pictures of her. It was brilliant.

A small but very interesting museum about the cheese production in Edam and how it all started. It is situated in an old restored house from the 16th century with authentic walls and ceiling. Old tools used to produce cheese and national costumes of the region are also represented in the museum. The ticket price includes detailed audio guide. Definitely worth visiting. Really nice and interesting museum about Edam and it's cheese. I'm a fan of Henry Willig cheese but was not aware how cool the details behind are.
