Being located on the west side (touristy) of the island, the lighthouse and the area surrounding it does have a lot of visitors. around. Thus there are several vendors (four) that will sell touristy wares. As this is Aruba they are polite and will not hassle you. I recommend getting the coconut water vendor who will add rum to the water inside the fruit (7 USD).
As for the lighthouse itself, it is 5USD to go in. They take cards as well thru a mobile reader. Obese people should not go in, they will not fit and will block the spiral stairway up the top of the light house. the stairs are just a little wide (3 feet) enough for a good sized person . For people passing thru, more often than not the person descending from the top will have to ensconce themselves into the window nooks of the tower to allow visitors to go up.
