Nestled along the picturesque shores of Aruba, the California Lighthouse stands as a beacon of serenity and charm. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the breathtaking views of the coastline and the tranquil ambiance that enveloped the area.

The lighthouse itself is a marvel to behold, steeped in history and offering a glimpse into Aruba's rich maritime heritage. Its striking white facade contrasts beautifully against the azure skies, creating a postcard-perfect scene that is simply unforgettable.

But beyond its visual appeal, what truly sets the California Lighthouse apart is the sense of tranquility it imparts to visitors. Surrounded by pristine natural beauty, I found myself immersed in a moment of peaceful contemplation, far removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Moreover, the staff at the California Lighthouse were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, ensuring that my visit was nothing short of exceptional. Their warmth and hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to my experience, making me feel truly welcomed and valued as a guest.

Whether you're seeking a moment of solitude to admire the sweeping vistas or simply looking to connect with nature in a serene setting, the California Lighthouse is the perfect destination. It's a testament to the beauty of Aruba and a must-visit for anyone seeking solace amidst the splendor...

A worthwhile place to visit, provided you note a couple of things.

Being located on the west side (touristy) of the island, the lighthouse and the area surrounding it does have a lot of visitors. around. Thus there are several vendors (four) that will sell touristy wares. As this is Aruba they are polite and will not hassle you. I recommend getting the coconut water vendor who will add rum to the water inside the fruit (7 USD).

As for the lighthouse itself, it is 5USD to go in. They take cards as well thru a mobile reader. Obese people should not go in, they will not fit and will block the spiral stairway up the top of the light house. the stairs are just a little wide (3 feet) enough for a good sized person . For people passing thru, more often than not the person descending from the top will have to ensconce themselves into the window nooks of the tower to allow visitors to go up.

As for the view it is worth it Again the walkway is kind of narrow, but will allow people to pass by. There is an expanded metal mesh encircling the observation deck, thus be sure to be careful taking video and pictures. as this also faces the north side of the island, it gets...

Take a spin around One Happy Island! 🌀🏝
Part 3 of our series in partnership with @ArubaTourism, created with @TommyLundberg. 📸

Aruba is such a vibe! It’s full of sights, sounds, & surprises that made us feel at home. With impeccable weather, white sand beaches, palm trees, wild cacti and vibrant architecture, there’s a lot to enjoy! No matter where you go, you’ll feel the full effects of the island… a sense of relaxation and peace of mind that stays with you. #TheArubaEffect

When we travel to new places, Tommy and I always try to see as much as possible. That’s why we loved how fast and simple it is to access different locations in Aruba. It’s a relatively small island, so you can drive across it in less than an hour! A fun fact is that they’ve removed all the stoplights and replaced them with roundabouts at every intersection- Making for smoother traffic flow and more exploring. 😎

Besides the colorful shopping districts, one of our favorite spots we visited a couple times is the California Lighthouse, located on the north tip of the island. Maybe it’s the name, but we found this spot to be super calming during sunset. Of course we had to stop by the famous Aruba sign for a quick photo, too!

Whether you’re a solo traveler, a couple or a family planning a Caribbean vacation with kids, Aruba is a safe and sunny paradise perfect for anyone to unwind. Find out for yourself and let your troubles sweep out to sea! #OneHappyIsland
