The best beach I've ever visited. Baby Beach is like a postcard, so beautiful and serene. Ideal for families with young children. The beach has everything you need for a spectacular day that will forever remain in our memory.

Ah, Baby Beach in Aruba! What a delightful place to talk about. 🌴

Baby Beach is one of the most iconic and beloved beaches in Aruba, especially for families with young children. Located on the southeastern tip of the island, near the town of San Nicolas, this beach is famous for its natural beauty and calm waters.

Here are some highlights about Baby Beach:

  1. Crystal-Clear and Shallow Waters The most notable feature of Baby Beach is its incredibly clear and shallow waters. The water depth remains low for a long stretch, making it perfect for children to play and for those who prefer swimming in calm waters.

  2. Soft White Sand The beach boasts a vast expanse of soft, white sand, ideal for sunbathing or building sandcastles. It’s a true paradise for those who appreciate fine and clean sand.

  3. Natural Formation Baby Beach is a crescent-shaped bay protected by a reef that prevents strong waves from coming in. This creates a large natural pool, ideal for swimming and floating peacefully.

  4. Snorkeling Activities Despite the shallow waters, there are areas near the reef where you can snorkel and observe a variety of marine life, including colorful fish and small rays. It’s a popular activity among visitors.

  5. Infrastructure and Convenience Baby Beach offers several amenities for visitors, including picnic areas, umbrellas and chairs for rent, and kiosks selling snacks and drinks. There are also restrooms and showers for added convenience.

  6. Family-Friendly Environment The atmosphere at Baby Beach is very welcoming and family-friendly. It’s common to see families spending the entire day at the beach, enjoying the sun and the tranquility of the place.

  7. Picturesque Landscapes The views at Baby Beach are simply stunning. The turquoise waters contrast with the white sand and usually clear sky, creating perfect settings for souvenir photos.

If you are planning a trip to Aruba, Baby Beach is definitely a destination that should not be missed. Whether for relaxing, swimming, or exploring marine life, this beach offers an unforgettable experience. 🌞🌊

Baby beach is the best beach in Aruba. Water is shallow but you can still find some deeper end to swim if you like. Color of the water is beautiful (unless it gets cloudy, of course), water is the same as everywhere else - cold in the beginning and later gets warmer. There are strong winds here too but i think wind here is not that strong as on all other beaches. There is super big parking here so there will always be enough car spaces.

Biggest issue here is - no shade, and lots of rude people. There are maybe 5 palapas in total, and there are some bushes, but palapas are always taken and bushes are full of wasps that will get inside of your bag, in your face, it’s horrible. Also, even if you take a palapas, there are some very rude people that will just use same palapas with you, even though there is not enough space for all of you. They will not even ask if you are ok for them to join. What is wrong with people, i do not know. I have never met such rude people anywhere in Europe or US. Strong winds and rude people ruined my holiday in Aruba. These rude people that, by the way, are family people, will turn on loud music and they don’t care about anyone else. There are younger people also that come with loud music and take over most of the places in the water. You can only pray for them to leave as soon as possible.

If you want to pay for shade, there are some tents that you can pay for, but i think they are 70$, super expensive. You can rent them in the left side of the beach. For me, center and right side of the beach were the best. Also internet here is weird. We paid e-sim card which we found on airport but we couldn’t use any messenger like viber or whatsapp. Not only here but on other beaches too.

There is Roger’s beach near by, but the water there is very bad, and beach is almost empty. There are only some interesting staircases there, you can take pic, but that’s all. And there is town near by, San Nicolas, which is very weird. It has fast food restaurants, stores, and all, and entire town is covered in nice graffitis, but town feels like a ghost town, not sure why but i didn’t feel very safe here. I had to take pics of all the graffiti though.

Now i’m off topic, but Baby beach is the best beach on the...

A True Review of Baby Beach, Aruba 2025

Baby Beach often shows up on travel guides as a must-see in Aruba, known for its calm, shallow waters and good snorkeling. But if you're staying in the main resort areas like Palm or Eagle Beach, you might want to think twice before making the 40-minute drive down to this part of the island.

Not Exactly a Tropical Escape

One of the first things you'll notice at Baby Beach is that it's right next to an old oil refinery. While one side of the beach looks beautiful and serene, the other side reminds you that you're not exactly in paradise. Several visitors have commented that the view of the refinery ruins the whole vibe—it’s hard to relax when industrial structures are in plain sight.

High Prices for Basic Amenities

Be prepared to pay for just about everything. A basic setup—like two beach chairs and a small shelter—can run you around $60 to $70, which feels excessive compared to other beaches on the island, especially when many hotels include chairs for free. Even using the restroom isn’t free—you’ll need to buy a $2 ticket to access bathrooms that many people describe as dirty and outdated.

Dining Disappointments

There are only two food spots on the beach: Big Mama’s Grill and Baby Beach Snack. Reviews for Big Mama’s are particularly harsh, with several people calling it overpriced and low quality. One reviewer called it a "rip-off" with food that just wasn’t good. Baby Beach Snack gets slightly better feedback, mostly for being cheaper, but neither place impresses compared to what you’d find back in the resort areas.

Worth the Drive?

That’s really the big question. When you consider the time it takes to get there, the industrial backdrop, the pay-to-play atmosphere, and the underwhelming food, it’s hard to justify the trip—especially when Aruba has so many better, more accessible beaches. As one traveler put it, “There are far nicer beaches in Aruba that are easier to get to.”

Bottom line: If you’re already nearby or just really want to snorkel in shallow water, Baby Beach might be worth a quick visit. But if you’re coming from the resort side of the island, you're probably better off enjoying the beautiful beaches you already have right...
