Service: 10/10 Very nice people, I was greeted as soon as I walked in. They took my order fast too.
Cleanliness: 10/10 Very clean and sanitary
Staff: 10/10 The local guy who works here with the man bun is an absolute joy, he Dances while he takes your order and says he genuinely loves his job. I appreciate everything he does. I had been in the pool for 10 min and he came out with a huge bottle and poured a shot in everyone's mouth haha. No extra charge. This place is hype. Love it I had lost my sunglasses, and after I already dried off, I noticed my sunglasses at the bottom of the pool. One of the waitresses asked another customer to get them for me. These people really go out of their way.
Atmosphere: 10/10 I've never been to a place like this. There was no fee to enter to pool and the view can't be beat. I mean, how can I give this place a higher rating???? They deserve it and I just hope they are justly paid for their awesomeness. The photo opportunities here are a must, just don't get in the way of other patrons, wait your turn and be polite. It's also worthy to mention that their roof is covered in solar panels. Love to see eco friendly businesses
Busy: 6/10 It was busy when I was there but not crowded
Value: 5/10 Like everywhere else on Aruba, the food isn't cheap, BUT it is worth it. I had the chicken sandwich. It was crunchy on the outside and so moist and juicy on the inside.
Overall: 10/10 I give this place the highest rating possible. Seriously if you can find anything to complain about this place, it's either a freak accident or you're just a Karen. I recommend this place to all 8 billion humans on this planet. The only thing I would change, is it needs to be dog friendly, but I say that about...
Read moreI'm so glad I didn't let the negative reviews keep me away!!! This place is a hidden gem. Part of me wants it to stay that way, but the other part obviously wants to see what more growth will bring for patrons. I had the absolute pleasure of having Maureen as my bartender. She was attentive, friendly, and very much into her customers. I ordered my drink & she actually asked if it was ok & whether I liked it. I'm not used to that. On our 2nd round, she told us to go back outside to the pool & relax. She would bring them out. Hands down THE BEST service I received on the island. I felt like I was back home with my local bartender I've known for years, not 5 minutes. In all fairness, please be aware no kids allowed (yay!). I'm a mom of 3 so it's nothing personal. Additionally, if you want food, you must eat downstairs. That took FOREVER but it's not the bars fault as they don't have a kitchen/grill area......yet ;) JP please continue to put your effort into Rum Reef. Your attention to detail, preservation of the buildings history, etc is remarkable. I can't wait to come back. HANG ON TO MAUREEN!!! DON'T LET HER LEAVE YOU!!! Peace, love, & blessings until...
Read moreI do not understand why this bar and grill has such a good rating! Maybe it is because of the free pours of booze for the girls in the pool We gave the food a solid 2. We ordered the share snack plate of ribs, wings, chicken satay, cheese balls, funchi & fries. The Ribs were burned black and tough as cardboard, the wings were deep fried to a crisp, 2 skewers chicken satay were okay, cheese balls were okay. The best part of the platter sadly was the Funchi. Cost $38 Two mudslide cocktails $28 Two bottled water $6 (we asked for tap water) We gave the Hostess a 1 The Hostess was surly and initially denied us a table for 4 because we were a party of 2 - yet she was seating other parties of 2 at the larger tables, of which there were many that were empty. She eventually grudgingly sat us at a larger (small) table. Wait Staff - after we finished with our meal we asked for our bill. We waited over half an hour for the check!! Only after chasing down the waitress did we receive it. We do not recommend the Rum Reef and we will...
