Very clean beach with active guards around during summer time. Enough space for everyone even during peak moments. Depending the tides you can swim to an island. However the sea here js full of stingy jellyfish, so not great for a swim. Dogs allowed.

Ein toller weitläufiger Strand mit tollen Dünen. Er kann auch mal etwas voller werden, aber man kann einfach etwas weiter gehen. Der Strand ist bewacht. Vor Ort können Speisen und Getränke gekauft werden oder aber man nimmt sich was mit. Wichtig zu wissen: An diesem Strandabschnitt muss man Treppen nutzen, um über die Dünen an den Strand zu kommen. Also nichts für Rollstuhlfahrer*innen, Kinder- oder Bollerwagen. Die Kinder müssen selbst laufen oder getragen werden. Der Parkplatz ist in unmittelbarer Nähe kostenpflichtig (Tageskarte liegt bei 16€ Stand Juli 2023). Die Toiletten sind dort kostenlos.

My visit was in 1947. Had a wonderful time. Participated in the building of a dike. Ate oysters on a oyster boat. Visited fallen German bunkers in the dunes. I visited with the Roell family. Enjoyed the dunes especially as I lived in the dunes of the barrier island off Maryland...
