Pretty nice walk for about 5 km.
It’s very quiet and peaceful (you’ll get to see a lot of birds on the way, but I only met 7-8 people on the way).
It’s mainly in shadow that you don’t get to be exposed to the strong sun that much. The path is pretty narrow though well maintained and not much up and downs - easy to walk.
I didn’t plan to take this path though I found it after visiting the Treaty Grounds and though it would be an ideal path to go to the Haruru Falls.

Read moreGreat walk to stretch the legs after a long day driving to Paihia. Very easy on the knees and legs, however, there's a few areas that might need a bit of attention while walking over rocky surfaces.
Half way through the walk, you'll come to the mangrove bridge walk, which I find awesome, as the pathway curves effortlessly amongst the vegetation.
A few short hills and narrow tracks but other than that it's fun.
