Treaty House — Attraction in Bay of Islands-Whangaroa Community

Cici (or Ceecee) our tour guide was FABULOUS. Had all the facts and information so well memorized, and said it with passion and occasional humor when interacting with guests - well-placed. Learned a lot from Cici, and was impressed by her ability to speak in the native language of some of our fellow tourists! The Grounds themselves are well laid-out, decent amount of walking. Beautiful walks and views, and well-described history. Both museums worth visiting, and the cultural performance will be memorable...

Ein Hoch interessanter Ort mit sehr vielen Informationen - alle natürlich auf Englisch und Maori verfügbar. Wer kein perfektes Englisch kann, wird dennoch seine Mühe haben, alles zu verstehen. Die junge Dame am Empfang war eher lustlos und hat auch auf Nachfrage nicht wirklich deutlicher mit uns sprechen wollen. Im Laufe des Nachmittags haben wir mitbekommen, dass es auch Audioguides gibt - auch nur auf Englisch und alle unterwegs und somit für uns nicht verfügbar. Das zusammen, bei dem Eintrittspreis von guten 35€ pP ist schon hart. Die Vorführung der Maorischen Rituale sollte man sich dennoch nicht...
