I had an amazing time at the market with my university mates. One of the things that stood out was the abundance of parking space, which made it very convenient for all of us to get there hassle-free. We explored various stalls and found some excellent honey and hand tools that caught our attention.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the delectable food options. Among them, I discovered my new favorite dish: the spicy hot Chicken noodles from a vibrant red stand. It was so flavorful and reminiscent of the street food in my friend's hometown, which brought back fond memories for him.
The only minor drawback was the seating arrangement. While we enjoyed our meal on the lush green lawn, it would have been even more enjoyable to have more seating and tables available. Nonetheless, it didn't dampen our spirits, and we made the most of our time together.
Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, and I can't wait to visit the market again with whanau. The variety of goods, delicious food, and lively atmosphere made it a perfect outing...

Read moreDefinitely one of the better markets I've visited in Christchurch. Women's clothing stores impressed me the most and I enjoyed browsing the second hand tool stalls. However this wouldn't be a destination "shop" for me unless I'm after some basic workshop and garden tools, which you could purchase there at a fraction of the price of a new one. The "German" sausage we had for lunch was pretty average to say the least and at $9.50 was a "rip off" as well as the coffee at $6 we had to pay cash for. Overall I don't think I saw anything at the market that I wouldn't find at a store in a mall, for example, and most probably at a better price. I must say that we did walk the whole market and browed the majority of stalls. We arrived at the market around 12.30 and found a park pretty close to the main entrance. So if you have nothing better to do on a Sunday and the sun is shining, it's...
